Have I completely screwed myself?

So, I finished Gears on Casual and am now playing it on Hardcore. I picked up tonight where I left last night - in Act 1 - in the stage right before I'm told to gain access to the House of Sovereigns. Anyway, after I finished and made it to the checkpoint I realized that this ONE time I had forgotten to change the setting from Casual to Hardcore.

I changed it to Hardcore for the next stage, but is that going to screw me out of the Hardcore achievement once I'm done?

I'm not sure, it might or might not. You might as well just start over as you didn't get very far anyways.

You have to do an entire level on hardcore to get the achievement.
I made the same mistake on act 2,started it on hardcore,accidentally did some on casual and then finished it on hardcore,but only got the casual achievement.

I thought to get the acheivment you had to play the whole act on that difficulty.....thats what i did.....idk if so though.......

Yep, you have to finish acts 1-5 on casual then start a new game on hardcore, redo acts 1-5, rinse and repeat on insane (which is).

im pretty sure you can go back and just do that one section on hardcore like with the level select thing. when you go to pick the level then the section it shows them differently if you did them on hardcore i believe.

yeah you can switch between not only each leve 1-5 but each little segment of the story as well, because i think if you go to "load previous chapter" or something and you have set it to hardcore, it will tell you which parts of the level you have done on that difficulty. thats the way im doing, it.

Restart your campaign on insane. After you beat an act on insane, you'll get the insane achievement and the hardcore achievement. I didn't even touch the campaign on hardcore, i got hardcore and insane from beating the game on insane.
