What's your favorite non-shooter for 360...

I finally got my hands on the 360, and it's going great so far. I have Gears of War and Ghost Recon, so I really don't need another shooter for now.

I need suggestions for games that are non-shooters and that aren't Madden. I've already played Oblivion on the PC, so I won't be getting that either.

The Elder Scrools IV Oblivian all the way!!! Its the best RPG I think with a huge world and over 100 hours of gameplay, not including the downloadable additional quests that are out including the expantion that will be out soon.

Dead Rising the Zombie thriller game is great if you like zombies at all, almost everything in the mall is a wepon! Killing dead people couldn't be more fun!

Another vote for Oblivion. I see you play it on PC, but the shivering Isles expansion is due out soon...could be just the reason to get it on the 360.
When you're ready for another shooter, go for Call of Duty 3 and don't forget GRAW 2 is coming out in a few weeks. There seems to be a lot of shooters, huh?

I would say Oblivion, but compared to the PC version, the 360 version is a joke. So I'll say either Viva Pinata, or Dead Rising.

OMG i entered here thinking if anyone mentioned Oblivion, clearly they have.
The other non shooter game I have racked up the most time on my Xbox360 is probably Saints Row but if you class that as a shooter then it would be Tony Hawks Pro Skater.

Personally I am really looking forward to Guitar Hero II, that will be the next non shooter I pick up.

Err...okay so you probably don't want another vote for Oblivion but..um..Oblivion. Failing that try:

Kameo
Viva Pinata (bit of an acquired taste this one)
Perhaps even Tomb Raider

Good choice, Forza 2 should be amazing. If your into tuning up your car and customizing it for maximum performance that is.

good thread. It seems a lot of the popular games are shooters. I too got my xbox with graw and gow so am looking for non shooters. NHL 07 is on the way so am looking forward to some sporting goodness. I too was looking at a soccer game. From what i have heard as far as fifa 07 vs pes goes its the same old EA sports story. They have all the licensing and the better graphics, where as PES has the better gameplay and more "soccer" feeling game. I gave up deciding between the two

I too might check out guitar hero 2 when its out, should be fun, and possibly the new baseball game (not sure when thats out). Sports games are fun on consoles IMO

Okay, seeing as people are telling you what shooters to get and Oblivion, even tho youve clearly told us you not interested in them right now i will do my very best to help you out here lol. Okay...if you want to play an rpg game apart from oblivion, then i'd recommend Enchanted Arms...the gameplay is quite like final fantasy style. Also, Viva pinata is very cute to play and addictive as you go around creating your garden and attrcting animals t live in it. Also, dont believe the hype when it comes to GOW...it really isnt THAT good...its one of those games that you can only play once...Lost planet is a shooter...beware, some 360 consoles have been known to cause havoc with this game, mostly the froze screen it often does which is annoying as hell as you lose your game and end up having to clear your xbox's cache every time...avoid the lost planet update if you do get this game...thats the main cause of the screen freeze. Also, one rpg we are all wating eagerly for is mass effect...its oblivion...in space!!!!!! lol

But the burnout games are pretty fun, i just kinda got sucked into them. And the traffic crash thing is fun when you have friends over.

I think Marvel: Ultimate Alliance has been over looked by a lot of people. Or it just might be me, but I think it is one of the top 10 best Xbox 360 games out there today. Give it a rent if nothing else.
