Posts: 841 | Personally I don't care for the wireless headset. Some people have reported problems with getting it to stay in sync with some of the older controllers. I did not have that issue. But there is a lot of info on the problem out there. Including some great YouTube videos. For the most part the headset worked good on my end. It would loose sync here and there, but always sync right back up. Sound level was good as well. The real problem is what people hear on the other end. Very bad feedback, and ultrasensitivity. I have seen more people "booted" from online matches because you could tell that had a wireless headset and it made the game unbearable. So for that reason I went back to the wired one. Hopefully the problems can be fixed with a firmware update. But for now, I would save your money.
As for the camera, I like it and it works fine. But I will say it is very sensitive to the lighting in the room. Too much or too little and it looks very bad. The only other issue is there are not that many games that use it. Face mapping in Rainbow Six Vegas, Uno and Poker are about the only ones I can think of. And a lot of people on the latter two are not using it to show their faces if you know what I mean. Fun toy, but not worth much at the moment. There are rumors that Rabid Rabbits that is coming out soon is going to use the camera for some type of in game control. So we will have to see how that goes.
Anyway, bottom line IMO you are better off spending the money on a couple of new games right now and holding off on the wireless headset and camera for a few more months. Good luck~
