PGR3 Delayed? (rumour)

Came across this on Eurogamer

So if you do the maths, that could of course imply that we won't see PGR3 on the shelves until Christmas at the earliest... And the 360 is famously rumoured to be launching in November. Hmm.

What's more, the team at Electronic Arts behind PGR3 rival Need for Speed: Most Wanted don't reckon the game will make it to the starting grid either. According to an article on TalkXbox.com, "Most everyone there at EAX doesn't expect PGR3 to make launch.

"Microsoft has apparently been giving EA all the help they can give with getting Most Wanted out at launch, and they wouldn't be doing that as much as they are if they had their own racing game ready for launch.

"Also, PGR3 is very ambitious, and from what they've seen it won't make launch," the article continues.

"Most of them expect it to be in the second wave of 360 titles, along with Gears of War."

Course, this is speculation on EA's part... But this isn't the first time we've heard rumours that PGR3 is slipping. Nothing's been confirmed and Microsoft was unavailable for comment at the time of writing, but we'll keep you posted.

i heard this a couple of days ago and i was ticked! i want this game bad... i guess it will be even a more better game of they work on it longer

This has been going round for some time. Personally I doubt it, and hope it's not true. PGR3 will really help consoles sell come launch day so Microsoft should get it released, or Bizzare should just hurry up.

The more delays the better for me. There are about 7 games that I've pre-ordered now, and I can't play them all at once! If PDZ, and PG3 get dalyed, I can be more devoted to the other launch titles that I've had my eyes on. (Oblivion, Ghost Recon, Quake, ect)

I rather have them take the time to make fixes in then relaease substandard product. Sure I will be disspointed but would rather have awesome game compared to good came, so I say let them delay it then we will all win in end if take time to make fixes.

I hope it is not delayed. That is like the one launch title I know I don't have to rent or read a review for it to be good. It could be PGR 2 with 360 graphics and I would buy it.

Yeah but are these the same places that have a date on halo 3, the retailers are among some of the last ones to catch wind of the actual dates, m$ and the developers are the ones to be listening to, not some nerdy, pimplly faced kid at ebgames

I just watched the TGS show on G4 and the guy on there said it was delayed.

All of the sudden MS' brilliant launch lineup is crumbling.... GR3 delayed, PDZ delayed, PGR3 delayed (maybe).

This sucks.

I watched the 41 minute video at Gamespot, where the two guys from Bizarre Creations were showing the game to the press:

They clearly said that the rumour that it was delayed was a mis-quote, and that they are actually on schedule to hit launch. Nothing else from Microsoft or Bizarre creations has been said to indicate otherwise. I guess we'll know for sure at X05.

I hate this time of year >:-(.. All those christmas presents I have to save money for and buy and 2 different birthdays that I have to get gifts for.. grr.. hopefully they'll all get me 360 games :-).
