Why Do You Visit Planet Xbox 360?

Hi everyone

I will have some time over the coming months to possibly make a few alterations to Planet Xbox 360, the idea being to give you guys more of what you want, and maybe set ourselves apart from the millions of other Xbox 360 websites out there.

The first step in doing this is to find out why you currently visit the site, what you like about it, and also what you don't like or what we could improve on (be nice though!).

The comments and suggestions can be as small or as widespread/large/significant as you like.

So as a current Planet Xbox 360 user, what would you like to see? Feel free to select multiple choices from the poll above, post your comments below, or even PM me. There is also a poll running on the front page of the site if you would like to vote in that too.

Well to be truly honest I started to come to the site from listening to the Podcast. I have been a listener to N&N from almost day one. I use to be a lurker on the Forums (like so many others) since October 06 and finally joining in January. Not to sure how long the site has been around and really have no desire to check out other Xbox360 sites. Are there really millions of others out there?

I enjoy reading all the current news on the site as well. If I were to suggest anything different for this site it would be 2 things.

1) A calendar of some sort for committee events. Most of the time N&N do a Wednesday gaming night. I just think it be cool to have a planed out schedule for other night. Even have a newbie night for those that have not played online or very little.

2) Reviews. Not really that big of deal but maybe more feedback from others on their review of newly released games. A section where anyone can post a feed back on his or her opinion. I realize we could just post in the general section, but a review/critic’s corner would be a nice additive to hear what other gamers have to say about new releases. Maybe some kind of running score percentage of like/dislike.

Other than that I think the site is great as is, and will continue to view it daily. Thanks to all the people that take the time to make this site what it is today.

Same as Mik, I visit for everything. For me it is a great balance between news and information overload that can happen at other sites. I think the current review team does a great job, but I guess I could go for a few more reviews. Podcast is awesome, of course. All and all I would not change much around here. I kind of like it as it is.

Might just be me and I don't know if it is even possible but, it would be great if we could see and search by GamerCard in addition to user names. I often get friend requests from people on the site and I would like to be able to match the GamerTag with their UserName.

I definitely think that PX360 should be gettings some 1st party media converage; meaning, Nelson needs to interview more devs, artists, etc. and get exclusive content for PX360. This is actually the last place I come for gaming news, as the majority can be found elsewhere. I also think there should be a forum for game reviews so others can opine on them as well, and thus we could get a PX360 consensus on reveiws.

One minor thing, Matt. I'd like to be able to email an article I find interesting to a friend without copying and pasting the url and writing up an email. If it was as simple as a mouse click and typing an address, you could conceivably see an increase in traffic.

I'm here in hope to find a forum for Xbox 360 that I actually like. So far it's not bad but there are some things that could be changed... especially the way your game forums are laid out.

For the love man, for the love! Seriously though I come here to find out all things xbox 360. Mainly the latest news, dirt, etc. The podcast is a very nice compliment as well. Nelson and Nat are cool down to earth people [sometimes a little obscure ].
It's a little funny, sometimes I get so caught up in researching everything xbox 360, that I find myself neglecting my 360. It just sits there for days wanting me to use it, but I'm too busy browsing this damn forum trying to get that little nugget of latest and greatest news!!!

I come to the Planet for the massive amount of news and help offered by the people in the forums.

Also, the reviews are the most reliable I can find. Personally, I wont buy a game if it isn't rated 9 or higher here anymore, because it usually turns out not to be worth the money.

Perhaps an achievement section. The most plausible way to do this would possibly to be to form an affiliation with one of the achievement focused sites.

i agree w/ alot of what grindstone said.
i also CAME here to pimpslap silly euro-liberals, but that forum got strangled. I just love throwing out whatever i could think of, even if it wasnt nessisarily true, just to watch em get all mad and run around like chickens w/ their heads cut off.
other than that, its got some interesting articles and a good thread once and a while hehe
