Default Project Gotham Racing 3

More on Project Gotham Racing 3 for the Xbox360. Check out the screenshots we have below!

Quote:
Since the announcement of Project Gotham Racing 3 Bizarre has been posting reports documenting the ongoing development process. You can learn all about the PGR community right here on their community site. These Studio updates usually include a few screenshots and some humorous news from over the pond in the UK. The most recent blurb included some more detailed information regarding the new Xbox Live features.

It was previously reported that PGR3 will include a spectator mode called Gotham TV. This allows Live subscribers to watch people on their friends list and the top ranked competitors as if they were tuning into an actual sporting even. The TV feature also creates a highlights reel which gives players the chance to view only the hottest action taking place online.

The big announcement this week was the inclusion of monthly online tournaments. The rules are as follows: For the first two weeks of a month players will enter a qualifying round. Laying down the fastest time on a predetermined track with a specific car will give players a seed time. Different racing groups are designated by the seed times and racers progress to the knockout round. In this phase there are 12 player online races that qualify the winners for the next race and send the losers packing until one super-gamer is declared the grand champion.

Here at TNG, we also managed to find these 100% in-game screenshots. They are not renders or anything else, and reflect the graphics quality you will see in-game. Check them out!

Wow, the graphics...the buildings look so real!

The past PGR games were great but this takes it to a new level of gaming...if the xbox360 can produce that then think of what else it can do!

*Goes into a dream*

This is a title im really looking forward to...it will be interesting to see what else they can really do to racing games to make them even more realistic. I heard that they are planning to add a gothan TV function to there live... that way u can watch others race in a sort of sports channel setup... plus they plan on having full online Tournaments. Read some details on the tournies here

Gotham TV should be a great feature, especially for clan games. It would mean clan members not participating in a race can actually spectate. Hopefully this feature will be carried over onto over Live games as well.

that's the one thing live was lacking on the xbox. when you get into an argument with a guy and he's all "i'll take you one on one" and you have to ditch your friends to school a noob, it sucks, cuz then they have to go on bungie.net or something like that to see how bad you schooled them. i'd love it if i could just watch my buds pwn on some losers that think they're better than us or vice versa.

Got to admit that is extremely impressive regarding the visuals. Even the stone cornicing is impressively detailed, it's this attention to detail that really makes this jaw droppingly good.

i saw a while ago another gameplay pic of a building and the real pic of the building and they looked almost identical.

it's amazing how detailed they're getting these games.

More game details have emrged from the 360 Japanese Press Conference regarding the games polygon count, from IGN...

Quote:
The latest occurrence at the Xbox Summit in Japan was a demonstration hosted by Bizarre Creation's Nick Davies. He showed off the graphically impressive vehicles and environments for Project Gotham Racing 3. The cars will be comprised of 40,000 exterior polygons and 40,000 interior polygons. This is a huge leap when compared to the 10,000 total polygons used on the vehicles of PGR2.

In another example of PGR3's advanced graphics Davies stated that the Brooklyn has the same number of polygons as the entire city of New York in PGR2. Players will be able to customize and create tracks and race 80 different cars. Also, the crowds watching the races are fully polygonal and number in the thousands. No more card board cutouts cheering on the roadside!

The demo went on to show off Gotham TV. We'll have more information on this title soon with the distinct possibility of some media.
When you consider just how good PGR2 looks, PGR3 is going to be one hell of an impressive looking game with 4 times the polygons.

They are very impressive like u said.

Did u see all that blurring effects?

It seems that everything MS primmest they did.

NOW keep in mind this is the first game coming out. The games that are coming out later like in 2 or 3 years will look much better. Think back to when halo1 came out, then compare halo 1 to halo2.

The thing is new and I know that they can’t get every last pixel and polygon out yet, it’s to new. I’m not saying its not good looking, its gorges. But what will come after this will look better, if not much better.

Just came across this interview with Nick Davies, design manager on Project Gotham Racing 3 on Game Informer. Worth a read as it gives some details of Gothem TV and other features found in the game.

Here's the interview...LINK

I would expect there will be night time racing as there is in PGR2. Driving in the dark on the Nurnberg Ring with no front lights is a nightmare

PGR3 is certainly one of the launch titles that I am looking forward to playing. From everything that I have read there will be a new level of model damage to the vehicles. Below is a link to a good article on PGR3

”Feel the Crunch
Also boosting the immersion factor is an increased focus on accurate damage modeling for the cars. The competition intensifies when you hear the crunch of steel as another driver smacks into your side panel and your windshield cracks in response to the impact.

You may even hear the sound of your exhaust pipe dragging on the tarmac when your car takes a hard hit. PGR 3 audio has also been thoroughly customized to reflect the makeup of your car. You can easily identify a bumper's crunch into carbon-fiber material, metal, plastic, or glass.”

That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Quade013

tee any one?
