Poll: KOTN or Shivering Isles?

Ok, so I'm gonna download either KOTN or SI this weekend. I will Definetely be getting SI, but I was wondering about KOTN....which has better weapons/armor? I mean is KOTN worth messing with as far as the stuff you get from it....or should I just stick with SI and forget about doing KOTN until later?

well i havent purchased any of them but i would think SI would have more content since it is a full expansion, unlike KOTN which i believe is just a new guild/quest line. also from what ive heard SI gives you the opportunity to create your own weapons and armor.

Yeah, I read somewhere that you could create your own stuff, but I have looked everywhere for weapon/armor stats and found nothing for SI so I was just curious which one had the better goods.

I havn't gotten SI yet but I hope to be getting it sometime possibly... oh and SI also has the added bonus of a few extra achievements!

well, the KotN gives you some kickass armor and weapons that are hard to beat, even with the new stuff from SI.
in SI you get 2 new metal types, one heavy one light that are better than the best currently offered by oblivion. But so far, with the imbuing that is in the KotN weapons and armor, they are still superior to everything else i have found, or MADE. You just cant put in multiple effects in armor yourself.. which SUCKS.. but oh well.. the KotN has way to many effects added in. Each peace has a few effects that are readily visible, but in addition to that, each peace makes a separate power that you dont know about till you equip it.. which adds up to alot of powers, and a bunch of kewl effects.
I have a mix of morag tong stuff i picked up, KotN stuff, and some new armor/weapons i imbued. Good stuff all around

If you are looking for the most to do, SI has 30x more than the KotN, but KotN has a good 8-10 hrs of good stuff for it too.

Thanks for the replies! I decided to go ahead and get SI and Theives Den. SI is a great new experience. I loved Morrowind, so this is great! I have a Full enchanted set of both Madness and Amber....weapons and armor. Madness rocks!

Anyway, thx for the advice....her in a few weeks, I'll get KOTN.

Easy now, LOL. Amber is much cooler than glass, I'll give ya that. My major armor skill is heavy and since i'm a master, I have no encumbrance. Glass just made you're guy look like a pickle. Compared to Daedric, I still prefer Madness.

...Although...I have thought about enchanting a full set of Amber with 100% Chameleon...just for fun

Yea it is tru u can make ur own good(armour/weapons) and yes SI has better goods then KOTN.
