Well, I put in an old xbox game and it wiped out the whole sh@t box. I'm pretty stoked because I get to pay Microsoft 139 to fix it. That's sooooo hot. What a killer experience. In all my 20 years of gaming I have never had a system break or read so much on a system breaking. Amazing. It's like I was waiting for it to happen and it eventually did. Sux 2 b me.

was your system over a year old?? if so yeah that sucks I'm on my 3rd box but luckily I have fallen under the 1 year warranty each time...good luck with that.

That does suck. Now I am thinking it might happen to me too.

I have only had my system for about 4 1/2 months.

well you still have the 1 yr warranty start crossin the fingers at the end of the warranty...otherwise you'll be ok.

i have a best buy brochure thing that was stamped with a code. not sure if thats all they need but i will cross that bridge when i get to get.

My box still hasn't come to send mine in. Problem is, I was so pissed that it broke that I started to open it to clean it out but thought better of it. Still I started messing with the sticker, so they'll probably charge me. Even though it was out of warranty, when I called CS, they said it was still covered! DOH!

when you get a replacement does the 1 year warranty start again?

I got the EB Games one year warranty because i can basically get it replaced no questions asked. My 360 has been fine but thinking of replacing it for a new one, will my warranty keep going?

Mine died about 3 weeks ago too and was 3 months out of waranty but just by chance a good mate of mine is a manager in Games shop "where I got it" and simply just took a new one out of a box and replaced it with mine.

He said they only send them back to microsoft once a year so they will never no it broke out of waranty.

seriously man i really hope i wont be on a 2nd or 3rd xbox. kock on wood. whats with this unreliability for next gen. only wii has shown good results so far with its reliability.
