Its going to be called Rainbow Six: Central Ohio. You have to battle Amish Extremists through acres and acres of cornfields and grain silos, armed with the latest in sickle technology.

You just got me playing Vegas, and now you want to change it up on me?

That was a stupid question. Yeah, Ubisoft is going to turn down a sequel to a game which made them fat profits. They just don't see a point in releasing a R6: 2.

The ending to RB6:Vegas was a bit upsetting (Halo 2-esque ending) as you don't really complete the storyline. Halting story endings seems to be something of the norm in video games these days. I think Ubisoft wants this series to run a bit more in the direction of Ghost Recon.

The story mode for Vegas was a bit more fleshed out like Captain Mitchell, with a bit different game play obviously.

****POTENTIAL SPOILER****

As in GRAW you get the bad guy in the end (or in RB6's case, the bad girl), but find out another person was involve that isn't suspect of the plot at all until the very end of the game, kind of disheartening, because they never really played out that possibility. I won't go further because I don't want to give too much away.

****END POTENTIAL SPOILER****

does that mean that the sequal will probably also be set in vegas? or at least deal with the same terrorist organisation in a different location? that would be good but personally i prefer games that come to a real conclusion and totally end the story in a non-cheesy way and if a sequal needs to be made (which is does because RB6 is too amazing to end now) then i'd rather it was a completely different terrorist threat in a different location etc.

i know that i'm going off topic but i just thought i'd throw it in here, i'd love to see a SWAT team game with similar tactics to vegas but with more teams/members and no "terrorist" threat. i'd like each level to be a different (more realistic than RB6) domestic scenario that real SWAT teams deal with day by day such as bank robberies turned into hostage situations, drug busts, serving high risk warrants, difficult shootout standoffs (e.g. the hollywood bank robbery where larry philips and the foreign dude wore head to toe body armour and attacked police with armour piercing AK-47 rounds) etc

i dunno about you guys but i think that would make a really great game

Not necessarily. I would probably presume they will lead the game to another high-risk metropolitan area. Maybe not Vegas, but maybe New York, Alaskan pipeline, or some big city in Florida.

Without going into the ending, probably going to deal with some of the same factions of the terrorist organization (honestly, I like Tom Clancy storylines, but they don't keep me too enthralled to remember enemy names or organizations). If I go into why I said that, I'll be giving away the ending.

I don't think the next RB6 will have to due with Vegas, and if Tom Clancy has any mercy he (and UBISoft) will stay the hell out of Mexico. First it was war with Korea, now I can't get out of Mexico with any Tom Clancy game. Even RB6 Vegas starts out in Mexico. Getting old, I don't care how analytically sound the idea of a situation south of the border could be.

PC had a SWAT series, but I don't know much about it. Games are about drama these days, and I'm afraid a large team wouldn't give the emotional ride of the smaller teams. FPS are hard to get the player really involved with other characters, even Halo has a short list of real characters. Gears of War did a pretty good job of keeping the characters involved, but I never REALLY felt attached. I'd personally like the idea though. Work an LAPD worst nightmare scenario. You have to pick your team and how you want to work the situation out. Like old school Rainbow Six on PC used to be.

yeah im becoming pretty tired of clancy games always being set in mexico, i couldnt believe it when i saw americans on my list playing vegas (they had it a few days before us) and it said "playing the story in the mexican border" and i just thought FFS either clancy hates mexicans or they are trying to re-cycle GRAW lol
