Default Who has Forza, What do ya think?

So does anyone have Forza yet. Im so Ticked off its not funny. I decided to support the smaller game shop by my house. Mom and pop owned instead of Gamestop. I already paid for Forza in full. They call me and tell me it will be in Wednesday but that they are closed on Wednesdays. They said I cant get it untill Thursday. I wish they had told me that a preorder from them was basically worthless when I did it since just about every game comes in on Wednesdays. Ug!

So if you have it let me know what the PX360'ers think, better graphics? wheel options? Fav Car to start with, what you might be aiming at buying. I need to live through others in my time of sorrow so lets hear about it.

P.S., Im tongue in cheek about the time of sorrow part lol.

Damn. I preordered from EB Games (paid in full), and went there on my lunch hour, but UPS hadn't come yet. Now I'm torn. Do I fight traffic and go again after work (opposite direction that I need to go), or just go again at lunch tomorrow?

Lunch tomorrow Karma ... Playing a new game after dealing with the frustration of traffic dilutes the entire experience!

Meh, what I would do if you have to fight traffic is when you get home dont play Forza at first, just put in Graw or a similar game and shoot the hell out of some fools to make you feel better. At that point you should have a smile on your face and then pop in Forza. Works for me anyhow. I love shooting people after a hellish day of traffic.

Normally I have a nice, peaceful drive through 12 miles of National Forest, where wildlife is a bigger concern than other drivers.

I have a better plan...I'll fight traffic to get to the other side of the city where I work, and get the game. Next, I'll go to the Applebee's or Tony Roma's next door, order a MalohiTafataha (extra rum, hold the umbrella), and drink until traffic dies down, and I can jump on the freeway system and go home. That will ensure I have 24 hours of bragging rights before Hippy gets his copy.

Great idea friedkarma, but the extra rum might make Forza a bit... interesting tonight!

I got mine at lunch, can't frickin' wait. Going to make some a nice rally car design on the Pug 206 right away. After checking out all the tracks in arcade that is. Love the screens of the new lighting effects I've seen. Silverstone and Laguna Seca are looking good. My good friend's been playing all day, says the Ring is one of the best looking rendiditions yet.

Got the bouns car code too.

I'm super-happy with the game. If you played the original, and enjoyed it, you'll love FM2.

The graphics look better to me than what I remember of the demo, but I would have to play the demo again to be certain. I've yet to investigate Live play, but the tournament structure looks killer! I'll get in on the tourney this weekend.

The wheel seems like a worthwhile purchase for race enthusiasts. FM2 has preloaded configurations, but I've not seen the ability to custom map the wheel. I find this disappointing because I would like to associate freelook with the D-pad. Instead that is mapped to telemetry, which I would never use during an actual race. I'll dig a little deeper to make sure I didn't miss something.

One other minor wheel issue...it doesn't want to shut down when you want to switch to a controller. I can shut it down in the dashboard, but not in game. Some things are better with a controller, such as laying out decals on your ride. To get around it, I pull the power cord on the wheel, and when prompted to activate a controller, I fire up a normal 360 controller (which I can power down with no problem).

Im pretty disapointed with the wheel. I think the paddles are digital buttons essentially and you cant map the controls, so now my buddy wont be getting it. He is in a wheelchair. He has the logitech force pro like me which has analog paddles that he uses for gas and brake and is mappable with almost any PS2 or PC game. That sucks if you ask me.

I was testing the MS for him but now I have to tell him dont bother getting it. I understand his situation is special but the logitech worked perfectly like that and it seems like mapping wouldnt be to tuff. When at his house I play with the paddle set up for gas and brake and it really does work just as good. Darn, that sucks!

I emailed turn10 with our request very politely and never got a response from the email or their forum post. Didnt even offer an explanation. I also emailed MS long before the wheel launched with the request for analog paddles and explained his situation and also recieved no response. I think that is pretty rude to not even offer a reason why they cant do it when our old ass FFB wheels do it no prob. Ok im just venting here. Ill stop.

Too bad about the wheel issues guys. I don't have it to even test out.

I have to say that the game has really exceeded all of my expectations. I'm really blown away with the graphics, like karma said, I don't remember them being that good from the demo. Could be the lighting from some of the other tracks. Speaking of, some of them look really spectacular. I'm a sucker for skyscapes and lighting, and it really delivers.

Car list is huge, they look great, decal/paint creation tools are easy to use, the physics are outstanding, and the menus are basic and easy to navigate.

Online works great, did some races with a buddy last night.

Only one real complaint.
MORE TRACKS PLEASE! What happened to NY Long? Only get a short version now?
Here's hoping to decent priced DLC.
Come on Alpine, RA, NY Long, and Rio!

I played the Forza 2 demo and all I can say is that I hope the real game is better... is it?

I was skeptical at first considering the Demo backlash but now that it sits in my 360 it hasn't left the disc tray since I bought it. A great racing game regardless. I am enjoying my time with it.

I find myself debating on whether or not to go to bed for work in the morning or continue my races or complete the finishing touches on my ride. I feel you Josh .... I feel you bro.
