just customize a car like in nfs or can you only customize your cars in career mode?

You can go above and beyond any customization you did in NFS. You can then race them in your career, race them online in career or non-career races, auction them off to the highest bidder on Live, or Gift them to a friend.

I think he means having a seperate modding section in the game where you aren't limited by the funds you'd normally have in Career mode.

It's a good question, does anyone have the answer?

I don't know I haven't played Arcade mode. I have been doing my career.

No, you have to own a vehicle before you can mod it. Fortunately, cars and money are pretty easy to come by. You'll be rewarded with a vehicle every time you win a series, plus you'll get bonus cars occasionally when you level up.

Arcade mode will have you selecting from "stock" cars.

You cannot just customize any cars like in NFS. You have to own it in career mode.
