Meh, that light would put me off, my eyes would be drawn to the bright light on the pad in my hands and not on the TV where my attention should be.

I modded the controllers with LEDs. You can't currently buy anything like this offline so the mod is completly custom. Also, the LEDs do not have to be illuminated while playing as they do not light up with the play and charge battery pack, only the AA battery pack lights them up. Here's the site where I have posted a full tutorial on how to do the mod.
