Posts: 522 | well that's almost like asking which is better NFS or FM2
Fifa is a relatively superficial arcade game ..it's fun but offers no real feeling of soccer whereas pro evo is more of a simu that really goes deep in to the tactics and you really have a learning curve....to sum it up if you're a football fanatic go for pro evo but if you want a football game to play the few odd hours a week go for fifa |

| | | fieldzy shut the hell up, Fifa is muck. ProEvo may not have the looks but its a proper footy game. Fifa is for muppets who know nothing about footy but like to play the games, nothing wrong with that(well there is) but never say fifa is better that just retarded.
Although looks like i may be buying Fifa08 as they will have the irish league fully licensed. | |

Posts: 99 | Pro Evo hands down. I took Shanes advice and grabbed the demo, best soccer game I've played since World Cup on my Genesis. |

Posts: 515 | The Fifa games have been known to be quality games! When I would go back home to Italy, all the kids/teens would be playing the Fifa games. And for good reason! They are great games.
As far as I've known, Fifa is where it's at. I haven't been let down.
I haven't played ProEvo, so I can't comment on that. But it might not be a bad idea to try both of them out and find something you can be happy with. |

Posts: 515 | It's just a matter of what you want, I guess. If you want the simulation feel: where everything has to be perfect, you have to watch them change their shoes, brush their teeth, comb their hair, and then maybe go eat some breakfast; then buy a simulation.
If you want to play an "arcadey" game, like some might call it. To just jump into a game, play something fun without all the little details, and score some goals; then buy Fifa. I don't call it arcadey, I just call it a soccer game for some entertainment. |

Posts: 58 | Well... I have the FIFA game... and I see all the strategy/formations etc haven't played Pro EVO... so if its more complete, then it must be complex for the non-conossieur... I am no football expert, but enjoy a sporsts game you can just bring some friends over and be playing without taking a seminar.
in fact, all the options on FIFA a lot for me... so maybe Evo is for more hardcore football strategy and realism fans?
And yes... having the names of guys and teams helps!!!!!... I have friends form Argentina and Brazil and when they got together, just watching those guys at home is more than half the fun... and that's what it's about with sports games for me at least... there's plenty of fantasy leagues... and for strategy I can always pop an RPG there.
