I have never heard of an external HD fo the 360 exept those 500 MB ones witch i forgot what they are called. Just go with the 120 GB Save all kinds of videos and music. Plus i don't think you will need more than 120 GB of HD space on your 360.

To my knowledge, any external storage devices are read only.

If there is an external... I'd still probably just get a 120gb harddrive. It's very easy for mobility since it's connected to the 360. You won't have to worry about more cords, usb slots being taken up, and another thing you have to carry. Just get the 120 so it will connect to the 360 into one peice.

On the flipside, you might be able to use an external drive on other electronic stuff too. Like a computer, laptop, or anything really. The problem is that the only things that are legally able to be downloaded onto a 360, are anything that microsoft has recommended and signed as certified.
