Posts: 5,094 | You have to take into consideration the volume of repairs MS is currently handling with the announcement of the new warranty. This very same issue happened during the first warranty extension in late 2006. Many people, including a handful of people I know, are turning in fully functional 360's in hope that MS will install new heat sinks and what not for preventative measure. They are aware the extended warranty only covers general RRoD hardware failures but they are taking the chance anyway. TBH I can't blame them. |
