Default Disc is still spinning??

Sometimes when the CD tray opens the CD is still spinning. Am I doing something wrong or is this a problem with the 360?

Thanks.

It should not be doing that. It should stop spinning, and then the tray should open. I foresee this being a potential problem with disc scratching. And scratched disc's is definitely a 'No-No'.

If your not already, I would suggest you go back to the dashboard first then eject the disc.

it sound to me like you have a samsung dvd drive in your 360 with firmware ver ms28, did you buy you 360 between may 06 and sep 06 as some of the ver ms28 had this bug .
i would send it back to ms and get the drive replaced.

You can look on the back of your console to see the actual manufacture date. then there is a website that tells you what brand of components were put in your console on specific dates. I however don't remember the URL. sorry.
