Posts: 15 | LCD resolution and VGA questions If I bought a PC LCD monitor to use with my Xbox 360, I thought a 1440x900 screen would the ideal resolution. After doing some searching, most people seem to recommend the 1280x1024 resolution. Why is this? Does a 1280x1024 LCD monitor allow a 1280x720 image to be displayed without distorting the picture? Is this done by having 2 black bars? If so, why couldn't a monitor with 1440x900 resolution be used (having "4 black bars")?
Also, when using the Xbox 360 VGA cables, how does one get sound with the RCA male plugs? Is there an adapter so I can use my small speakers with the 3.5mm plug? |
