Xbox 360 too damn expensive

Anyone that tried to save money by buying a 360 without a drive, ended up getting exactly what they paid for. When I was saving up for my 360 I hit that point where i had $360 saved.... I was BRUTALLY tempted to run out and buy the Core and Oblivion for $360.00 then I realized I would need a $40 memory stick so it would be $400..... Then I realized that Games run alot smoother and have vastly better load times when they can use cache files and a hard drive. So as desperately as I wanted a 360... I was in control enough to wait another month and reach my original goal of $460.00. So just like Malo says, be patient when buying something expensive, be smart and buy what you need to have the best experience if you ar ebuying it piece by piece and you reach a point of knowing it's not what you want then you can sell it and not lose tons of cash, if you buy it ALL at once then don't want it you're gonna lose some money.

memory sticks dont last u should have gotten the premium console right off the bat, in fact i dont know anyone that owns a core,

Then Walmart decided that it would not accept my system back so I ended up having to buy a $99 hard drive.

Once again had you bought the premium right away you wouldn't have this problem, also dont blame walmart for your mistake, they are evil blah blah blah but the same thing would have happened no matter where you would've bought your system

This was YOUR choice, sure you can buy the $99 wifi adapter, OR you can buy a switch for $12 and hook everything up.

Slap on another 40 bucks for a controller since old xbox controllers don't work with it,

Once again ur choice i have one controller, whoever wants to come over and play they bring their own controller (since all my friends have a 360...)

add one cooling fan (approximately $50) and you have a whopping $650 investment that originally started at $300.

Cooling fan is $20 at most

And to add to that, game prices are ridiculous at $60.

WAKE UP !!!!! Pick a system nutgobbler, their all that expensive, but xbox already has a huge lineup of games at $30 or less

Xbox 360 is cheaper my ass. I just wish I had done a little research before I bought this system. Thankfully though I have done extensive research on the ds lite and I plan on buying one (No necessary add on bull**** and cheaper games).

They don't work for a reason: the guide button and segment assignment. Microsoft shouldn't have to compromise their design so you can save a little bit of money.

Microsoft doesn't sell any cooling fans; they are all 3rd Party. How is this Microsoft's fault that YOU bought something that isn't necessary and is actually detrimental to the workings of the 360.

Contradicting yourself and then shooting your own foot. Look at the PS3 game prices, look at the Wii game prices. They are virtually the same. Moot point and you need to stop whining.

Cheaper games...but worse games. Buy a DS Lite if you want, but what titles are out that are actually worth playing?

"Arguably worth it"? Arguably? I could take issue with almost anything you've said, but come on, sir, if anything is worth the price, it's Xbox Live.

And as for the price of the 360, it's coming down, and it's never been as absurd as the price of the PS3.

He should be paying $4 a month for Live, the best multi-game online available. He didn't do a bit of homework before dropping hundreds of dollars, and now he's paying for it. We get noobs in here every week asking questions before they buy their 360. He could have done the same, and had a great set up with cash to spare.

If the 360 is too expensive, then buy a PS3. But really, if you cant afford it than buy an Playstation 2. I mean, some people just cant. No big deal.

A can of soup, a book of witty comments and a large sharp fork can be more fun then either consoles, if money is an issue theres always a way.

haha that's funny how many people flamed me. i know it was a mistake buying the core console and that's why I vented my anger in a thread. I wasn't really expecting that many replies, that was cool, and thx for everyone who defended me. Have fun with the 360, and I'll have fun with my ds lite. No hard feelings and look for my 360 on ebay pretty soon.

It makes no sense to me. Complain about the initial buy in costs, only to turn around and sell at a loss????? Good timing considering the price of new systems is coming down. You'll be bored with DS with 2 months max. Your best bet is to hang on to your 360 and ask around the community before you drop any more cash on an accessory.
