My Game Idea This is my game idea that came to me after seeing some stuff about a year ago about Assassins Creed.
My game would be set during the Crusades/Middle Ages. NO MAGIC, I REAPEAT, NO MAGIC!!! It would be an MMO-type game. The game would be multiplayer only. Basically, you are a soldier trying to complete an objective. The objectives would vary, depending on the server and map you are on (I'll get into that later). Servers would hold around 300 people. There are two teams (150 on a team). The game would be in a first person view. Each have different objectives. One mission/objective would be to take over/defend a castle. One team is on offense, the other on defense. They can go about this different ways. One would be to break down a door/put a hole in a wall and get through. The other would be to scale the walls with ropes, latters, and siege towers.
There are many classes of characters you can choose to be. Some examples are longbowmen, crossbowmen, cavalry, swordman, pikeman, and engineer. Each would have different attributes to level up. The longbowman would increase accuracy, range, and rate of fire, while swordsman could increase strength and speed (there would be a lot more attributes). Engineers are the ones who build seige weapons (ex: catapults, trebuchets, siege towers, oil drums, battering rams, etc.) The engineers control the things they build, or can assign them to players. As you do certain things to further your team's advance ment (knock down a door, kill an opponent, set a ladder, etc.) you get points. These points increase your skill, much like an RPG. Winning matches gives you gold, along with other accomplishments (killed 10 enemies, knocked down a door, etc.) This gold can be spent on weapons, armour, and upgrades. Longbowman could buy flaming arrows, swordsman could get sharper swords and stronger armor. Engineers get better building materials to make siege weapons last longer, and can get flaming catapult ammo, etc.
There would be many maps to chose from. Each map has a different castle, terrain, etc. There would also be forest levels where the objective would be to wipe out a force about to attack a village or something. Users can create their own maps and put them on servers.
Characters would be completely customiseable, with many helmets, armours and banners to choose from.
The physics and graphics would be great. If a catapult hits the wall, pieces of stone would fly down and hit players below. Remeber, this is all in first person, so it would feel like an FPS only not shooting, but close combat (unless you're an archer).
So, that's my idea, I'd like to know your thoughts. |
