The Darkness change of price?

i bought the darkness for £40 2 weeks ago, and while i was walking past my local game yesterday there was a poster in the window "the darkness - xbox 360 only £11.99", i really want to know why the dramatic price drop. Anyone know?

That just can't be right.... That's like 1/4th the price... Maybe that's like if you bought a 360 or something!

yeah i couldn't believe it either, apparantly its becasue the majority of copys that came out over here were faulty

I heard the game is awesome, but I haven't had the time nor the money to even get my hands on a copy.

I bought it during the weekend after it was released and only had 4 days to play it before my box went in for repairs. All I can say is that it's the best game I've played all year. The Single player campaign is the most enthralling experience that I have had in a game since I First played Oblivion. You can just rush through the main story in mabye 10 hours if you just RUSH. But there are numerous numerous side ''missions'' where you are helping out the common local people, or helping out other members of your Crime Family. So if you like to play a game relaxed and easy it's going to be about 15 hours on normal difficulty, and then add in extra hours of play for the hardest difficulty.
The online play is fast paced because you can alter freely transform betwen human form and darkling form (little clawed demon) the darkling can run on walls and ceilings and has a claw attack as well as a lunging claw attack thats an instant kill... but you are WEAK to bullets as a demon. The online play also has MANY lag issues in my experience.

it rocks! there's nothing like creeping up on a bunch bad guys snapping the faces and eating the hearts in rapid succession. the multi player would rock if they could fix it.

What is the big deal about the Darkness? Is it any good?? From the trailers iv seen it looks like its got awesome graphics - but the two demon things at the side of the screen really put me off the game. Is it worth buying??

You control the two demon things. When you wish to do so. Otherwise they disappear.

Buy it, rather rent it. The multi seriously suck, and I beat singleplayer on medium difficulty, in about 10 hours. And I didn't rush, look at my achievements. Plus, I beat like 50% of the side missions. Most of them sucked though.
