Posts: 83 | Lol, no it will not explode your xbox 360.... a standard definition television does not do the 360 justice, I would suggest using the lcd (assuming its HD)... as for the ethernet cord, yes it just runs from your modem/router into the back of your xbox 360.
cheers

Posts: 140 | Definitely LCD. Im playing on a 17" LCD monitor until I get my 37" LCD screen. But yeah, I could have mine plugged into a 32" CRT screen, but as they said, it doesn't do the 360 justice - at all!

Posts: 3,238 | How on earth could a 360 explode your TV? Your friends are woefully misinformed.

Posts: 1,579 | Any tv will function properly. Just hook cable directly from modem to console. Bigger is always better in the tv department. |

Posts: 1,579 | I have a 36" standard def tv and all the games look and play just fine. They only complaint that I have is in some games the onscreen text looks kinda distorted and hard to read. |

Posts: 44 | Your LCD may be smaller but will have the better picture since you can play in a higher resoultion than your standard TV. What kind of TV is that, the LCD I mean.... only 14" ? That's awfully small.
Either way, neither of them will explode when you hook up your 360 to it, just try both of them out and see which one you will like better. To really give you better advice, we'd need to know more about that 14" LCD TV. Does it have a VGA port, or how will you hook it up to the 360? I doubt that a 14 LCD TV has component inputs....better check which connectors are availabe, because of the 14" LCD TV is some low budget thing that only provides similar ports as your big TV and does not have a VGA port, then you will be better off with the bigger TV.
And yes, if you want to go online with the 360, just plug the cable from the modem into the 360. Of course that way you can't go online with your computer anymore, so the best thing for you to do is to get a router and connect the modem to it, then connect both the PC and the 360 to the router. |

| | | You could use ICS (Internet connection sharing). The 360 plugs into the back of your PC via an ethernet cable. You have to keep your PC on whilst playin on LIVE then however. I used this method for a while with no problems. You can get a guide to do this from the xbox website.
Also, with a 14" TV you are going to be at a distinct disadvantage when playing online in games such as Halo 3 and Rainbow Six. Obviously I dont have to explain why... | |

The CRT might be a better option.

Posts: 83 | yah hollywood is right about the size comment... im not sure if this is an option... but you could sell both tv's, throw some cash in, and probably get a somewhat decent sized LCD.
