Default Watching downloaded TV Shows on 360?

hey, hoping someone can shed some light on this...

i have created a share on my pc hdd where i have all my tv shows that i have downloaded via torrents but when i locate the shared folder from the 360 it says that there is nothing there.

can these shows be watched through the 360 or can it not play these codec encoded files?

i thought it would have just worked as i used to play them all the time from my original xbox hdd, that and i thought a microsoft product would play these fils considering they make media player etc

thanks

Have you set the folder to sharing, so that it can be found by the xbox 360?

Its probably likely that the 360 wont be able to play the vids anyway, but it shoud still find them. But cos there'll be divx files etc, the 360 wont be able to play them.

I use Tversity to watch my downloaded content on my 360 and it works a sharme.

Being able to stream stuff to my 360 was one of the reasons i got it, and it works great.

Not to sure on all the ins and outs of Tversity, but i think its just a server that runs on your pc that can be picked up by the xbox. You can then put all your video files on Tversity and can watch them on the 360. Tversity transcodes the Videos from Divx to ??? (minds gone blank, whatever the name of the video format is that the xbox can play).
