Question Power Cord Switch

Hokay, so.

My friend bought his 360 in the U.S. and he lives in France, so when he came back to france, he tried playing his 360 with the French power, and his Power Cord blew up because the power was too high for the adapter...um...well I don't exactly know what happened but basically his Power Cord was Deep Fried

I'm coming 'round his house soon and he wants me to bring my power cord. I'm just wondering if i connect my power cord to his American 360, using French Power from the outlet, using a converter or something like that...um...well the main question here is if my Power cord will blow up.

Any Advice?

I'm pretty sure you can find a US/Euro power adaptor somewhere near you. I don't know specifically what the difference is, but Europe uses different standards (whether it be voltage, amps, ohms, etc. I don't know). If you have a Euro power brick, you might be OK, but I'd hate to give you bad advice on that.

And I can find one of these Euro/U.S. bricks in any electronics store?

I've seen US bricks here, so I'd imagine you can find a Euro brick there.

not sure you might need converter, when I lived overseas I had to use converter because all my electronics were american standard. Not sure just using french powercord will fix that being that your 360 was zoned for U.S.
