Gears of War updates

What do you guys think of the lancer being stronger? Personally, i like it. Before it was pretty much a useless gun but now it is actually usable.

It is actually usable now. But unfortunately, everyone is using it.

I do like the Lancer better like this, rather than before. Before, there never really was a reason to even use it with such other powerful weapons scattered everywhere. I even used the bolt shot more than the Lancer.

Now, like I said.. I use it along with my other arsenal, but I'm noticing that everyone and their grandmas are pulling out their lancers for everything.

The fact that everyone is using it now is probably due to the fact that it was hardly used at all before and it's almost like a new weapon. It is a nice mid-range weapon that gears was lacking before. It seemed like almost everyone either sniped or rushed with the shotgun and ran around in circles until someone got the advantage. I grew bored with gears but the lancer now adds a new dimension to the gameplay. I'm sure its overuse will level out, though.

I agree with you on that. It does add a new dimension to the game, when before the mid-range attack was barely effective. Now, we have multiple points of effective warfare.

Like I said, it's not necessarily a bad thing... and in my opinion I like the new more powerful lancer better than it was before.

Does anyone know if theres any more content for Gears on the Way soon?

ie new maps, or weapons. I am sick of hearing people online crap on that were getting more weapons soon, and also about the upcoming PC version.

So just wanted to know if anyone heard anything official.

If i Was Epic I would hold back any new weapons and put them into the PC version to bolster sales. Then mabye 2-3 months later release them on marketplace for Free or mabye 400 points for a weapon pack.
