Halo is definetely a great series,one of the best,but i think that its getting over rated.It's overshadowing a bunch of great games that are coming out this fall.It's so big in fact, that some companies have thought about pushing back there release dates so that they don't get raped against halo.That is just to crazy for one game.Come on.

Why ... Movies and Music push back release dates all the time when going up against a sales juggernaut. It's a wise business strategy. When it's released all these haters out there can drink a hot steaming bowl of shut the **** up while they are playing it.

I do agree however that they over-did-it with the hype I think. They have got to be pretty damn sure this is going to be a killer game with all the hype around it. IE.->

-Halo consoles
-Halo accessories
-Halo Action Figures
-Halo Books
-Halo movie? Anyone?
-Halo 3 collectors Helmet with legendary edition.

The game looks great. But suffocating our lives with the name of Halo where ever you go is just a little too much for me. I'll buy the game like any other I would intent on buying:with an open, critical mind, and foremost just to have fun. Not to spend 120$ on a plastic helmet to make my cat into Master Chief, and for pages and pages of concept art.

The point I'm trying to make I guess is that, Microsoft or whoever is marketing Halo 3 didn't need to install such an "over done" image of Halo 3.

Hell, I'm anticipating GTAIV a ****load more then Halo 3, and they've almost done nothing to market it. A couple trailers and thats it.

I guess we'll all see what happens when it comes out.

The ironic thing is, when I say a game is bad, it's usually out of little or no experience with a game, often based on a demo and some reviews alone. I think that's the way it is with most people, they don't actually buy or play the games they say they don't like or are overrated. This is not so with Halo.

Most of the people who diss Halo by saying it's overrated are people who do indeed buy the Halo games and play them. I'd say it's a safe bet to say Mr. Markopolo has bought one or both of the previous Halo games and he'll likewise shell out another $60+ on Halo 3. You're entitled to your opinion, guy, but if you don't like the game do us all a favor and don't buy it, ****tard.
