For all you fellow flight stim fans, Ace Combat 6 is looking pretty nice. The demo was good even though it wasn't fully action packed.
It reminded me of Top Gun the movie. Its funny how your wingman in the game sounds a lot like the black pilot who replaced Tom Cruise's friend that died towards the end of the movie. "We'll be back, I promise" (so nerdy) >.< Isn't that the same guy in Beverly Hills Cop who said "The banana in the tailpipe?" lol. Ain't nothin like those 80's movies!
Anyway, I am looking forward to this game. Blazing Angels is getting to old now, time for a new flight stimulator. Upcoming Blazing Angels 2 looks much better than the first but I think Ace Combat will take the crown. Too bad there isn't that many flight stims on the box. Anyone else looking forward to AC6?
Flight sims have come a long way over the years. Remember hard asss Top Gun on Nintendo? For all you old school Nintendo people, you gotta remember this godforsaken game. I just came across video from the Angry Nintendo Nerd on YouTube. You can probably relate to this video.
I actually was really good at the 2 NES Top Gun games. The controls were weird but once you got them down it was fun. You mainly had to ignore the onscreen instructions with the fueling and landing.
I thought the controls were very strange for Ace Combat. I would have liked it to be a little more arcade style. It was difficult to stay locked on to the enemies. The previous one I played back on PS2 was way more arcade style, which I enjoyed much more.
Yup, the controls on Ace Combat were very different. I'm use to the blazing angels controls so it took a while to get the hang of AC6. I still liked the demo despite the difference.
I thought it was pretty fun, but there are so many other good games coming. Not to mention that it isn't possible to rent here so i think i have to pass.
Really anjoyed the DEMO, looking to purchase this when it's available. you'll be able to find me playing any kind of flight/car/train/boat/ANYTHING simulator.
