Is this normal

Well, when I first got my xbox 360 it would make sounds like it was cracking inside the xbox, and the game would freeze (no scratches on the game, it was a brand new game I just bought) sometimes. It would say the disc was unreadable or just freeze and not respond to the controller or anything ith no message.

It still does it, but it doesn't freeze anymore. It usually makes less noise after it makes the cracking noise (like the fan slows down or something.)

Yeah so I'm just wondering is my xbox gonna die?

sounds like its ready to die yeah, maybe you should take it to the shop and have it put out of its missery? you got a warranty?
I just got my xbox , and its had no problems like that. so i suggest u take it back

He has a warranty even if his 360 is 2 years old. The 3 year extended warranty provides coverage for all 360's including launch systems. I would recommend you send it in for repairs.

Don't matter you have automatic warrenty from Microsoft just call 1800myxbox. I think that is the correct number. Don't worry you are still covered by warrenty.
