You know the other day I was cleaning up my harddrive whilst awaiting this transfer cable to come from MS which has now officially take 1 week! Dam you MS, you told me 3 to 5 bus days!

Anyway, I still hadn't play Stranglehold demo as yet. So I fired it up yesterday and gee it wasn't bad at all. I saw the unreal engine logo pop up and though, thats a good sign. Then I started playing it and liked it. I especially like sliding down rails, slow motion and shooting things. I like the intense scenes when your surrounded by 4 people and it goes all slow motion and you dodge bullets and shoot. I also like the expert aim mode, where you can push up on the D pad and essentially zoom in to a target and fire. I aimed at his ass, and when he got shot, it totally hit him there and he danced around. I thought that was cool.

I think its definately worth checking out the whole game, so I will try to hire it this weekend or so and see how good or what else happens. If thats the extent of it, well, I hope it has a good story line. But the demo was good enough to make me talk about it here, so your thoughts for those who have played the game or demo are welcome.

from videos it somewhat remineded me of Enter The Matrix....

I just bought a copy new off ebay, my stores are selling for $99, I bought for $69 delivered.

I hopes its good.

As I said, Demo was great, felt different than normal games, and I loved the bullet sequences and slo mo, felt like FEAR a bit.

I've played so far the first 2 chapters, and to be honest, its great.

But only 1 problem.

I AM FEELING NAUTIOUS, SICK, WHATEVER?????

Because I think the camera is so sensitive and your constantly spinning around, its making me feel sick. I cant play more than 1 chapter a night before feeling giddy?

Anyone else experiencing this with this or any other game?
I mean I've played Gears, Halo 3, Bioshock hours and hours straight, fine, but this game, I feel crook?

Stranglehold was fun. I played it at a friends house. Seems fairly generic with a few new touches. Good cop kills bad evil guys with cool moves. The story is rather boring to me, but over all, I liked the flow of the game. I might pick it up, but I'm not a HUGE fan of this genre.

It's a fun shoot 'em up. The various effects are really cool. I think with the release of Halo 3, some games like this one didn't get the attention they deserve.

Yeah agreed, Halo 3 seemed to suck up everything around it. I commend those companies who tried to put something else out there when Halo 3 was released. Although from a busines point of view, its not good, but potentially it can work if people want a alternative.

I like the game so far, played 4 chapters. I love the bullet time features, the crazy shooting sprees, and the spinning around like a mad man technique also rocks.

If I take it easy with the right thumstick and dont swing that camera about like a idiot, its reducing the nausia.

I get sick with just about any first person shooter, be it on the 360 or the PC. I can watch for a while and I can play for maybe 20 mins...but that's about it! That's why I suck at FPS games and that's why I am grabbing any game I can find that's not FPS. I haven't really played Gears of War to see if that game will make me sick or not. Conan was a god send...I can play that for hours without a problem. Racing games don't make me sick either, but I usually use the 3rd person outside view.

Gears is 3rd person so it may be better.

I find if I keep still, and try not to move my head, but rather my eyes its ok. Plus if you are too close to hte tv that can affect it more as well. Try sitting a bit further back from the tv.

Also try not to swing the right camera stick too crazy as that can sometimes disorient you as well.

Yeah, watching my buddy play Half Life 2 can really get me nauseaus, but only if he moves around in close quarters really quick. I usually sit way back at the opposite end of the room on my couch while he sits on a chair right in front of my monitor (I have my 360 hooked up to the same 23" LCD Monitor that my computer is hooked up to).

I am gonna have to play Gears a little at my other friends house, but for now, I am too busy with Conan.
