Default Broadband

Hi dudes i've got question here, is it possible to have two broadbands running through the same house obviously not through the same phone connection?

My next question is if a computer and a games are both online do they use half of the bandwith therefore slowing each other down?

Any advice as usual would be great.

i'm pretty sure you can get 2 connections in one house but i'm not 100%

and if you have a decent connection having a comp and a game should be fine, there should be more than enough bandwidth to share, the problem arises when you are downloading stuff on your comp therefore maxing out your bandwidth and trying to play on live at the same time, but simple stuff like surfing the web should be fine

The trouble is i live in an area with weak internet connections meaning that my computer runs on 1mbps now i assume that if went online with my 360 it would take half that bandwith therefore making it slow. So my plan was to get a second Broadband and leave the existing with my comp and use the new connection for online gaming. However if that won't work would 1mbps be enough?

it should be fine, i have a great connection at home but in my dorm my connection is even slower than yours and i can play on live while surfing the net, but like i said, downloading on your comp while playing on live is a no go with any connection speed, unless you limit the downloads bandwidth usage

By downloading you games and stuff? I don't mean to sound an idiot but when it comes to wireless, downloading and other internet stuff i'm not really good with that.
