Posts: 7   |  Considering Xbox 360 Hello, I am considering an Xbox 360. I am a bit concerned about the number of negative customer reviews I have read about the Red Ring of Death and other technical problems. Have the reliability issues improved or should I pretty much expect to have to deal with an issue if purchased? Thanks in advance! Dan |

Posts: 833  | yes there have been quite a few reports of the RROD, however you can be rest assured that you are covered for 3 years anyway. Also if you are buying new there have been significantly fewer reports of rrod problems with current selling versions of the consoles. Your best bet is to check the box before you buy to make sure it is a falcon unit (lot 740, 175w power). This will ensure you have the latest revision with better cooling meaning less chance of rrod. Other than that, get it, get live, and enjoy a kick ass gaming system imo !

Posts: 3,238 | No, its not new. Last summer MS granted a 3 year warranty to every 360, even retroactively to launch consoles. You're going to be under warranty almost until the next generations of systems are released. Pick up a 360 Pro, an Xbox Live subscription and enjoy.
