New Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare DLC Maps On The Way

I’ve got some big news I know that everyone has been waiting on official confirmation of and I’m excited to let you guys know that we’re currently working on some official new maps for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that are going to be available as DLC in the future. Last week I let you know that we were on the look out for the best community-made maps, but this week I can let the news out that we’re working on official IW-made maps of our own as well behind the scenes.

These new maps will be adding even more variety to the online multiplayer of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and I’m excited to gradually share more details regarding the new maps as we progress. So keep your eyes tuned to the blog as I’m going to be sharing sneak peek details and insights on what you can expect as we get further and further along with the DLC.

As always, thanks to everyone for your feedback and support. In the spirit of the new DLC announcement, what do you hope to see? Leave a comment and let me know what you’d like to see more of in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare? What kind of maps are you hoping to see?

I'd be happy if the fat lazy gits got that patch out to fix all the host leaving problems, it was promised before christmas where is it?

New maps would be nice. I'm at level 35 and getting bored with the game. Shane's patch would be nice too.

Seriously...all the multiplayer maps were taken out of the single player campaign, so what has their multiplayer division been doing?! Get them out, pronto!

yeah, been seeing this one a lot lately. really sucks if you are kickin ass and getting some good exp points. jerkfaces.

I agree. As long as they are priced 800 points or less, I'll buy them sight unseen.

From what I been reading the new maps will be out by spring, no direct date as of yet as to when they will be released. And the patch supposidly will be out before the new content to fix dropped host problems.

Sheep! Don't give in to Ubisoft's lazy development! I will not buy the game unless it brings something new to the series. It needs to play more like R6: Black Arrow but with new awesomeness.

Ah yes, but you see Shane -- I have a shovel.

Oh and look at their track-record: They did well with R6 and Black Arrow but then got complacent and threw out that crusty cum tissue of a R6: Lockdown. They cannot do that...but I have a feeling things just wont change for this one.

I want a map based on the Chopper crash after the nuke detonates.... witht he same environmental effect in place.... also a map with attack dogs going after everyone, would be good.

We don't need another "city in ruins" map, with a nuke or not. I want another one like overgrown, or a snowy one.
