funny, the average score in a football match is 3 goals minimum, look it up retard.

I tried watch the superbowl ,but after literally watching 60mins of fatso football with body armour, i saw 15mins of actually play time. Guess im missing out eh?

You're in an NHL thread! Either talk the game or GTFO. Its that simple. I didn't say you started it, but if Oli is going to mouth off like that, he deserves to get his sport flamed. You're collateral damage.

Hmm well , unless My source is incorrect , the best team in England is Arsenal with ...... 52 goals in 25 games ........ thats like 2 goals per game ..... (Average) .... 2 goals ..... in 90 + minutes of play .............. hmmm ... well ..

Considering that the other team also scores 1-2 goals , thats 4 goals per game , 4 goals in 90 minutes .... 1 goal every .... 20-25 minutes.

In the NHL , The Detroit Red wings which are #1 at the moment have a total of 194 goals ... in 59 games ............. an average of 3 goals per game in a 60 minute game .

considering that the other team also scores 2-3 goals , thats about 6 goals per game (aprox) in 60 minutes .... 1 goal each 10 minute

Anyways these are just numbers but this proves again that Hockey can be considered one of the most exciting games to watch. Bravo for the good guys !!!

(and FYI the best team don't have the best scores per game, seeing as they're top of the leauge means not many people score against them, so their GA is very low ergo, low scoring games. watch a Derby Country game(karma you suck) and you will see massive score lines, the average derby game this season has been about 6 goals a game becuase they are so ****, and last in league)

And It just shows you know nothing about sports, or footy as its the team work,skill,pace and play that brings about a goal that what footy is all about. Its called the beautifull game by about 6billion people for a reason. I like alot of sports and play a couple, but theres nothing like the rivalry or passion that you feel for your footy team. familys fall out, mates fight and people get stabbed ^_^ because of the sheer passion people have for their teams. Im sure most people love the sports they watch and play. But theres nothing like footy to watch and play, its practically my life.

karma and alex the sell-out, tell me about the complicated plan outs of NFL and how its a hard sport and they seem to think that will impress me, but I want my sports to be edge of my seat entertainment and have me glued to the telly for 90mins, not 5mins of play then talking about that 5 mins of play for 5mins.

may be hard for you to understand with your lacklustre brainpower but w/e.

**** it! If you're going to go there, watching half the players jog, while the other half just stand around doesn't keep me on the edge of my seat. When they finally get a scoring opportunity the ball is kicked back out to midfield. Average time on attack...4 seconds. How is that exciting? I'll take 22 men running full sprint and hitting each other every damn play. The pauses between plays are brilliant. You get the opportunity to see replays, analyze the last play and discuss with your friends the upcoming play. It's absolutely ****ing beautiful, and why your whisky-soaked brain can't see it is beyond me.

I watch the premier league Saturday mornings, but knowing that some Irish douchebag that tries to use the same dumb arguments (whether they fit the topic or not) is watching the same game is really becoming a turn off for me. I don't have a problem with soccer, but I have a problem with people that don't have the mental wherewithal to make an intelligent arguement about anything. If that's what "footy" breeds, you can take the World Cup, turn it sideways, and shove it straight up your ass.

I do admit that one of the only things i wish hockey had are the fans ... I whish 70 000 people would assist to hockey games ... Here in montreal we sell out every night at 25 K , we would probably be able to get 50-60 K per game , im sure ... but anywhere else .... I HIGHLY doubt it....

Shane , is there a football game i could watch on the net tonight ? Can you shoot me a link to a good game so i can experience it for myself ? No football games are shown here in Montreal (Except our local team but it sucks) send me a Youtube link or something and ill look it up tonight,

Havn't a clue man. but you'll get load of goal vids on you-tube, just search big team names and Im sure there will be pages of vids.
And you don't need to like footy, thats not the point im trying to make. you can hate it if you want but what I cant stand (karma being a prime example) Is people bad mouthing it all the ****ing time, in plenty of threads and not being able to take any stick about their own sports.

Its what Ive come to expect from mods here. no biggie I guess.
