NHL 08 Online makes me angry....

WHY!?

What's with the lag in the middle of team games? Well i think its only team games cause thats only what I have played so far... but what the hell? I have played over 10 games and I haven't been able to finish 1 because of the random lag!!!!! (this lag resets the game to the last whistle.. over...and over...and over... and OVER!@$!#@$)

its not just team games, i played nhl 08 quite a bit on live and i had that happen a few times. Its really annoying because its just a stand off, whoever leaves first gets the loss and possible negative feedback for ''leaving early''. I stopped playing it a while ago suprised they never fixed that.

yeah, I also tried some NHL08 online (got it 2 weeks ago) and about 600 people were playing . So i guess EA is not going to try to fix this

Say for all you hockey fans . Montreal Canadian Tom Kostopolous and Ryan Obyrne (Rookie) got arrested last night for stealing a purse or something in Tampa bay lol ...

Shane, Shane, Shane...they wear the pads and helmets because of pucks traveling at 140mph. Also, hockey is about hard physical contact throughout the entire game, not after the game in the locker room like soccer.

You can't deny that Soccer has way more "Diving" than in any other sport.

Also , if they would lower the dimensions of the field , the action would be so much better.

I saw a Indoor Soccer game once and the score was 10-8 and it was action pacted ... I don't know why the FIA didin't try that formula ... Ah thats right , about 1000 Millions Euro fans like to watch a slow paced game with all the action hapening in the center of the field.

I think the best way to resume this is by refering to a Simpsons episodes .

Ive heared so much about shane in the podcasts , nice to finally meet you.

It's 2 different mentalities so none is "correct" However , I am curious as to what every "football" fan here finds exciting about football.

Us Americains (And canadians) probably just don't know wnough of the sport to fully apreciate it .

So let us know , what is it that makes your sport so great ?

Ill tell you about mine ...

Hockey :

Fast paced sport

More contacts than most sports

It's a team based game

Spectacular to watch (Especially since its faced paced)

Players are not ridiculassly overpaid (Unlike Americain Footbal or baseball) and most still work hard for their money.

So those are the major strong points about my sport , tell me about yours (Cause in 26 years of existance , no one i know personally ever found Football interesting so i never got to learn about it)

Pure fiction. For one it's a not complicated game from a rule and strategy standpoint. Secondly, damn near every kid plays the game up until puberty. After that we opt for the sports where strength matters. It's not a game like cricket, where we have no exposure or appreciation. We have all played the game, we have every opportunity to watch and participate in soccer, we just don't like it.
