Fable 2 For 2008?

I have never been a huge fan of RPG titles with their rather monotonous turn based, random battles bull****. Most developers have strayed away from this style and have created a more open RPG environment which enables the user to control much of what happens. That is why I loved Fable so much on the OG box. That game was and remains to be the **** and it completely altered my views on what an RPG can be. With that being said 1UP busted out an interview with Jeff Bell who claims to be "good friend(s)" with Peter Molyneux. When asked what games he was looking forward to in 2008 he stated all the usual suspects but then mentioned Fable 2. Many suspected this game wouldn't be complete until 2009 but over the past month I have noticed many web sites posting it as a "TBA 2008" when they previously had it listed as simply "TBA". If Fable 2 is released in '08 that would be the shiznite and would in all likelihood push a grip of units. If it is to be released in 2008 it makes the exclusives battle with Sony a little more interesting.

Fable owns. It's unfortunate that I let the sister live. Now that I look back I should have killed that *****.

I loved Fable, that was one of my favorite games for so long...even got the Fable 1.5...if it does come out this year, hopefully it's good and polished.

Fable was a good game, and i have noticed the same thing recently with the majority of sources pointing to a 2008 release. Maybe we will get more info on a release later in this month during GDC. But with Peter Molyneux you never know what to expect.

been tempted to pick the first one off the bargain rack (if it is compatable with the 360). heard lots of good stuff, but kind of short?

It's not too short. I don't remember exactly how long it was, but it took some time to complete. It is for sure worth picking up, and I'm pretty sure that it's backward compatible.

The great thing about it is it can be as long or short as you want it to be. Buying a bargain bin Fable is well worth it my friend. Do it! You can also buy it on LIVE as an Xbox Original.

well, i just picked this up from best buy today for 10 bucks. really hope it is backwards compatible. haven't heard anything but good about it. so here goes...

LOL, yeah, you should definitely kill her. I enjoyed playing that game for than a few times altering all my decisions and creating a totally different experience each time. That game is awesome.

Absolutely agree did not get the praise it deserved because it didn't live up to what the media thought Molyneux promised. The people that played it know how good it was and dare I say ahead of its time with its consequence based gameplay. This is supposedly coming out this year and for sure adds to the already long list of superior games on the 360. Fable 1.5 is BC and you would be very fortunate, if you have never played, to add this game to your collection for a $10 price tag.

Well no release date was given but new info was released this weekend. Including info about co op, which should be beyond badass. Link below if anyone hasn't seen it.

ya the fable dude said 08 and they know the week and day but they cant tell anyone yet. he said expect it to come between June and october
