GoW Hack

Not really a hack,but this is a good way for training yourself to not use the L button.At the beginning of a match switch the weapon your going to use and hold down the L button than stick a piece of semi-transparent tape in the middle of your crosshairs. Than instead of hitting the L button to aim,just use the tape.I know it sounds ridiculous but it really does work and its good for newbs!Works especially well for the shotgun

That's what a lot of ***s do so they can try to no-scope with the sniper. Also, whenever you don't hold down L, your accuracy is reduced, and holding down L really isn't a bad thing anyways. It can be useful in a lot of situations, even gnasher battles.

That actually sounds like a great idea, I know it sounds crazy to the people that have played for a really long time but for people that are picking this game up for a change it really might help.

ya ppl just can't take it seriously lol I thought it was stuupid at first though.One of my friends who refused to play gears with me because he got owned so hard the first night we played started owning by the end of the night after sticking the tape on his screen. Now he doesn't use it at all and hes pretty good,after its there for awhile you get the feel of how to aim with USING L,and for the people who say its better to press L because it increases ur accuracy ,well thats why u press it right before you press R no reason to use to aim though,not in my scenerios.

I bet all the haters here are sticking tape on their screens as we speak :P

i knew some people that did this years ago with day of defeat and counter strike (talking the orginals here, baby!). they would zoom in with the sniper, and put a sharpie mark on the monitor.
i would expect it to work back then when you didn't have to line up your sites (didn't cod1 start that, and now it is standard), so your accuracy was always the same. i wouldn't expect it to work with new games like GOW, so i am kind of surprised this would work. most games really take down the accuracy if you aren't actually lining up on the guy with your sites.

GOW does, that's why it's better to press L. I'm not saying just walk around everywhere holding L, but quick presses when you need it. So for example, in a gnasher battle, you might roll to the left, press L real quick and shoot, then roll again and repeat. Or with a lancer, use the L button when you're behind cover to line up the reticle on the head for quick takedowns. Snipers are my exception, I use L a lot for no-scoping, because not pressing L is too inconsistent.
