Default 360 Upgrade warning

If you are thinking of upgrading your 360 please read email from 360 support

Hello MR. *********,

Thank You for contacting Xbox Customer Support.

I have received your e-mail regarding the issue you have with playing your arcade games on your new Elite console. We submitted a request for a license transfer and have now been advised it is not possible as your original console was not an Elite system. We are only able to transfer a license if the console is of the same specification.

In general it is only possible to transfer a license if the console has gone through our repair center. If the console is un-repairable and needs to be exchanged then we can make arrangements so the license is update to the replacement console. In some cases we have made exceptions were as customers who have exchanged there faulty unit in store like for like. All the premium content is restricted by the data security provisions and none transferable.

You have been warned

I was under the impression that downloads such as arcade games, map packs, gamerpics etc... were tied to your gamertag. I have never had to change consoles but if I ever had to I assume that I would have to import my gamertag on the new console, and re download arcade games etc.. Are you saying it doesn't register that you have already purchased stuff on the new console and its prompting you to purchase them again ?

They are locked to your gamer tag so if you have more than one gamer tag or profile on you console after you get repaired or upgrade no one else can access the full game
