I'm getting the unable to read disk with every game I own. I follwd the steps shown and follwed them properly, but still got nowhere. I have been playing a crapload since Christmas with my new games. I need to know what's wrong, and how to fix it PROPERLY. any info would be great.

so much for bad luck... my console today has started giving all my games disc read errors..., but now all of a sudden it's working again. Well partially. The only game working is COD4. | |

did any of u play a TON of COD4 after Christmas or the halo 3 maps from pack, cause this prob started afterwards, and i never had before. Maybe one of these things is the cause.

Mine started when I placed Need for Speed Prostreet into my system... My friends 360 got screwed over from COD4 though. | |

I find it hard to believe a game disc wll screw up your system. Logic says your system was dying before you even put in a game disc. It was just a coincedence that it went after putting in new disc.

It was just a coincedence that it went after putting in new disc. | untrue man, when my flatmate bought halo 3 after taking the disk out and closing the disk tray it wouldn't open again without pushing the tray, rotating the console etc, this happened with both our xboxs on the same day after doing this and it has never happened to either of us before

Mine started with the Godfather and now my Forza 2 game has started but in my case it takes ages to load before a race then during the race half the track dosen't load up and then it freezes. I've looked at the disc and a can't see many scratches but surely it wouldn't affect it that badly? | |
