Default Question?

Ok i was just thinking on how im getting the premium package, and it comes with the wireless controller, and being wireless, does it take batteries or something? And does it come with a charger, I meant I dont want to go home and play for 30min and the controller die on me...

No the controllers work off of a car battery. It should last you 60 or so days. Me, I ordered 2 DieHard Gold North because I am up in the North East and figure I should get things for this area. Here is the link if you would like to make a selection from sears.

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...tive+Batteries

But you may also want to get a plug and play so that you charge the controller batteries while you play.

You get 2 standard alkaline AA batteries in the box. Once they run out, you have a few options:

1) Buy some more standard alkaline AA batteries.
2) Buy rechargeable AA batteries (and a charger if you don't already have one).
3) Buy the "Charge & Play" pack (gives you the official battery pack and the cable to connect the controller to the Xbox to charge it while you play).

I personally am opting for nunber 2. This way I get the following benefits:

1) Much better batteries compared to the official pack (2600mAh NiMH give performance equivalent to Duracell Ultra M3).
2) No cables tethering my wireless controller to the Xbox 360.
3) Batteries I can use anywhere, not just in the controller.

Just went over to www.steves-digicams.com/nimh_batteries.html. They list a whole bevy of hi capacity MiMH cells. I didn't realize they had pushed the capacity as high as 2600mAh for AA's. This is great. Does anyone know the capacity of the cells coming with the controllers?

This is the power pack. They list the run time as 25hrs/charge. They don't mention if this is with vibration on.

Yup this is the battery pack the wireless controller comes with.

This is wrong. See my correction below in #20. Sorry.

I'm wrong.

You must buy the charge and play kit or the just the rechargable battery seperately. You can also just buy rechargable cells and charge them with your own charger.
