For me, my favorite's that I played were Crackdown, Rock Band 2, and a bunch of Halo 3. Yes, I know Crackdown and Halo 3 came out before '08. Oh yeah, Fable 2 was good too.

Virtua Fighter 5, first experience with this saga and it was wonderful, the most "hardcore" fighting game until SFIV.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was my favorite game that I played in 2008. Fallout 3 would come second for me.

My favorite game for 2008 was halo 3, but in terms of games released in 2008 i would say Mirror's Edge, Cod WaW, and Guitar Hero WT.

Lots of good games to choose from. I will go with GTA as my over all favorite game but strangely Halo 3 multiplayer would still be high on that list. I just can't get enough Halo.

2008 was a slower year for me; not a lot of great multiplayer titles coming out. I had to stick to COD4 for a lot of the year, taking a break here for R6V2 and there for COD5. But ultimately, COD4 and Halo 3 were the main games I carried from 2007 to 2008, and thus, the only really notable game I bought in 2008 that I enjoyed was Fallout 3. Most other stuff was so-so.
