Gears 2 was OK and Cod5 sucked.
When people tell me that This year was 'amazing' for games... There were a lot, the few were decent.

well i'm not disagreeing with you but you only played 3 games that were even released this year. I can name 10 games that came out in 2008 that were an 8.5 or better. Rarely does that happen, or atleast in the past. Thats why people say 2008 was a big year for games.

EDIT: I'm not talking about review scores i mean were a b+ or better in my book.

Played CoD4 nonstop during the spring and summer, and I have now mostly been playing Rock Band 2 and Gears Of War 2. Mirrors Edge was cool, too.

Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 2, Lost Odyssey and Fallout 3 would be favs of last year in terms of entertainment value.

this was a great year. from fallout to dead space to COD to mirrors edge to Left 4 dead & Gears of War. that's not even mentioning another 10+ games that were really fun. oh yeah! Little Big Planet was amazing too! great year.period

Played COD4 for the best part of it. Ienjoyed playing crackdown untill GTA4 came out, then went back to crackdown as the co-op mode was better. Liked FIFA08.

Was disappionted with COD5. All the hype, but still in the shadows of COD4.

I think Fable 2 was a blast. I've spent the most time though on Gears 2.

* I was waiting for Left 4 Dead all year but was let down by the lack of options/modes.
