Unhappy Should I get The Core system or Full on one?

Core;
Xbox 360 Core System;
Xbox 360 console
Wired controller
Detachable faceplate
Xbox Live Silver membership
Standard AV cables

Xbox 360 Main Package;
Xbox 360 console
20GB detachable hard drive
Wireless controller
Wireless Xbox Live headset
High-definition AV cables
Ethernet cable
Xbox 360 Media Remote Control (limited time)
Detachable faceplate
Xbox Live Silver membership

I don't have loads of cash ($$$) and dont think that I would beable to use Xbox live straight away, this is because I wouldnt have any mates who had the Xbox 360. I also was would it be worth getting the core and then the hard-drive later on, because I think it might not be worth it money wise. Also, to use Xbox live, do you need a Hard drive, Gold Membership (how much are those), and wirless router, or have i got the wrong end of the stick? PLEASE HELP ME, IM SO DESPERATE I MIGHT WAIT AND BUY THE NINTENDO REVOLUTION!

OMG! Getting the revo instead!?

I'm going with the premium pack, I think the extra money is worth it.
I think you can check how much the gold mebership is on xbox.com

Ok Premium thats clear:

why to buy premium
-first of all for that 100 bucks you will get so many things, thats worth about $150.
-If you read the stuff below you sure want xbox live, so if you get the core version you gotta buy a headset (if you wanna talk) so thats $30 but you will also need to be able to save ur games so you will also need a memory unit wich is$40. total is $70 + 300= 370. Well thats $30 bucks less then premium system and then you dont got a 20 gig HD, the remote control, better AV cables, ethernet cable, better looking faceplate + 1 month trail xbox live gold

about live
For live you need a internet connection, and with ethernet cable wich is included with the premium package you simply plug it inot your xbox 360 from your pc and configure a network you can go on live
Then you get a 1 month trial for gold xbox live, thats means everything live has.
After that you can buy 1 month xbox live for $8 of 3 for $20 or 12 for $60, if you dont got that money you can use live with xbox live silver, wich means you can only play in the weekends.

Hope this makes it clear

No No No ...

The question you need to ask: Is all the stuff of the Premium worth is. Dont buy it just becouse its 100$ more for 150$ worth equipment ( and it has been disproven already that its not 150$ equipment, just MS overcharging on there products ). I'm willing to bet you will see 3th party equipment going to be a lot cheaper then MS there bundle.

Default thanks, just one more question...

Muthas said; "For live you need a internet connection, and with ethernet cable which is included with the premium package you simply plug it in to your xbox 360 from your pc and configure a network you can go on live"

Would that mean I would have to keep it plugged into my computer everytime i went on live? I wouldn't beable to do that.

I can see that it will be easier, to get the premium package as it has all the extras there for me already.

PLEASE KEEP ANSWER AND KEEP FEEDING ME WITH INFO, AS I WILL PROBABLY KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS, I AM A REAL NEWBIE!

About it having plugged in, most computers have a network entry on the back of the pc, i guess you got it too. If you dont got a network at home its free so you can use it for your xbox. If it isnt free you will need to buy a router (and if you wanna game withouthaving your pc on, it must include a modem for your cable/(a)dsl line) and then its gonna be expensive.

But what kinde internetconnection do you have, and is it shared with multiple computers and do you have a usb modem or is it build in? Also, do you wanna game with having your pc turned on? If you tell me this i can explain what you need.

I don't think the 360 is fully backward compatible though.

You also save like 250 on the accesories. If you get the core, I also heard you don't get the chrome disc drive.
