Posts: 203 | For now, its more than enough unless you plan to put hundreds of pictures or your whole arsenal of a full iPod of music. Myself, I play to put maybe 50 songs at top for now, and no pictures, it's not necessary. So that leave me 19.5 gigabytes for Live and game saves.. more than enough.. |

Posts: 51 | I was wondering if you can use the XBOX360 as a way of transfering music, photos etc, as it has a "big" harddrive. |

Posts: 0 | They will have larger hard drives. 20 is big enough for a console's needs (game saves, Live info etc.). They might make a 40, 80, 100 and so on. |

Posts: 51 | makes sense. Microsoft look to be going the right way about it; blocking off and "greater" comments from Sony and making there XBOX LIVE even better, though the NINTENDO REVOLUTION's free internet/wifi sevice does sound quite appeling |

Posts: 203 | Seriously people, the Xbox 360 didn't even come out yet?! Do we really need to be worrying about the size of the hard drive right now? I don't think so.. I'll be surprised if I fill it up halfway by the time spring comes. |

Posts: 806 | Yeah I'd be suprised if I ever came close to filling it up half way. 20 Gigs is a lot of memory. The Xbox's Hard drive is 10, and 2 is reserved for caching so 8 gigs. I know people that put tons of albums, save games, downloaded content from tons of games they owned and rented and I've never seen the block indicater change out of 50, 000+ blocks. |

I hope so. |

I hope so. | Your right. 20 gigs will be hard to fill up. Unless you port HL2 on your 360 like 5 times.

Posts: 175 | Sounds like the 360 will be able to function as an IPTV set top box. So if you start downloading movies and tv shows 20G is pretty tiny. I think we'll see big hard drives (120MB+) in the not too distant future.
This is a good reason for the Core system. If people buy 360s to be a set top box they don't want to throw their money away on a bogus 20G drive.
For gaming the 20G is excellent.

Posts: 712 | MS has said that eventually there will be larger hard drvie options, but only when they are needed. You don't need more than 20 GBs.

Posts: 175 | IPTV on the 360 can work just like any DVR including a TIVO. Of course most people have limited bandwidth so reasonably good resolutions will require some downloading before watching. MS has not fully revealed their IPTV plans yet so we'll need to wait for the details. |
