Question HD LCD TV Question ???

Ok, I want to buy a HD LCD TV, somehwere in the ranges of 26'-32'. I do not want to pay more $800. So my first question is what tv would be good for this genre... and my second question is if i bought that ( HD LCD TV), would i need a HD signal (that costs extra, like a box/service) and only then would my xbox play in HD form on the tv, or can I play 360 on it with HD quality without having a HD signal (service/box).

Any suggestions or answers are appreciated.

As long as your TV is at least "HD ready", the 360 will put out the HD signal. So as long as your TV will accept the signal, you will be good to go.

yeah you only need the HD box to view HD channels bud. Like football, HD HBO, HDNET yada yada, you can watch your DVD's i progressive scan without an HD box too and if you get a tv with the built in HD antenna receiver you can pick up over the air HD channels for free (with an antenna) thats another good thing to look into for just something extra. But like our cable provider an HD box was only 3 bucks more a month than what we currently had so ya know you have options depending on where you live sometimes if you ever wanted to get one.

Samsung has a killer LCD at 26 inch. It lists at like 1300 though but if you go to a place like circuit city you can talk them down (plus they match prices within the area so if theres like a Fry's nearby or something they should really have low low prices its like that in my area) so I bet you could talk them down to under a grand. Also though they have a lot of other brands for a bit cheaper so plenty of stuff to choose from, but definitely go to the store they average 200-300 dollars less than whatever the online price is listed at on their site

well if its HD tv ready it is supporting 720p, so just look for that "HD ready" sign.
that samsung tv cybergig is refering to must be the LN-R268W, i have the 32" european version of that tv and its really good. sharp picture, good colors, supports 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i (downscaled) and it has a HDMI connection with HDCP, so its preatty future proof.

really you want to look for one that says HD BUILT-IN and it will have the tuner for 720p. HD READY has just 480i 480p and 1080i.
