sup. i have a sister thats so *** and is always on the computer. ill be using a D-LINK DI 524 or LINKSYS BEFSR41v3 ROUTER. sh'll be on FIREFOX, INTERNET EXPLORER, MSN MESSENGER and AIM. this is my connection

will i get LAG. pleez help. ill be using a wired connection. BTW the price for my internet is in canadian dollars so its really like 35 bucks, but i get 15% of cuz i got digital cable and phone bills with them.

I am no expert, gatman, but right now i have xbox on a router with 2 comps..... If either of the Comps are on the internet, I can see some pretty gnarly lag. specialy if im playing Halo2

no, a high speed connection (well yours at least) will not lag up to numerous computers.. your sister or anyone will not affect your connection unless she disconnects your wires but then that wouldnt be an internet-based problem would it..

The other compputer use WILL affect your online play.The lag you will experience will depend on the amount of IP and UDP traffic that the other computer will generate/request. The CPU speed of your router also plays a role. The only way to fix those kinds of issues is to use a router or firewall that is capable of quality of service (QoS) features. With QoS, you could prioritize the ip traffic from your 360's private IP.

okay srry. ill stop. but i hav a 3.0 MBP modem with 1 pc 1 xbox/ 360 (in the future) and a d-link DI 524 router will i get lag
