Default True Fantasy Live Online

Hey everybody, just wanted to push my personal crusade on you all...

True Fantasy Live Online was an MMO developed for original xbox for MS by Level 5 (makers of Dark Cloud series) but was canceled because of chat/networking problems. The game was playable.

TFLO had cell-shaded characters, so could easily be converted to 360, maybe with a quick and easy increase in character / terrain polygon counts.

head over to the xbox.com forums and search for this phrase:

True AND Fantasy AND Live AND Online

This will get you hooked up with the relevant threads. Please show some support and don't thread-crap if you don't care or don't think the game will ever be released.

Thanks!

I would love to play it. But isn't Level 5 pretty much a Sony developer?

Mostly because of the bad blood between MS and Level 5 over development of TFLO. You can get more info and anecdotes about the game on Wikipedia

Designed to be the the first MMO game for Xbox, True Fantasy was cancelled in an advanced state. The game was supposed to let 3,000 gamers hop into a single world where they would take on roles as both explorers and regular citizens. Under development for more than two years at Level-5, True Fantasy was a massively multiplayer online RPG set in a fantasy world that was supposed to be more than an Everquest monster-masher. In fact, players would be able to choose from over a dozen different professions and join one of over ten different adventure guilds. Characters could buy houses and furnishings and create their own virtual domicile. Battles were in real-time. Development on the game was halted in May 2005.

Thanks for adding more info for everybody. If you are at all interested in seeing this game released, please go participate in the xbox.com forums.

There are two threads specifically about this game, and both are on fire (lots of hits, but we are getting very few replies). Please show some support for this game and help to keep our threads on the xbox.com forums near the top!
