Default Call of Duty: Big Red One supports cross-platform multiplayer
Activision has announced that Call of Duty 2: Big Red One will feature cross-platform multiplayer thanks to the State Engine middleware from DemonWare. PlayStation 2 and Xbox players will finally get a chance to enjoy some real bragging rights—or even join forces—when they duke it out in 16-player online competition. It’s worth mentioning that the GameCube version will not support these multiplayer features. Big Red One is due out in November.

LOL. PS2 is going to get pwn. I mean how many FPS games they have and that are online? Like 3. I want to see there socom skills aginst my, RainbowSix 3,Black Airrow,LockDown, Ghost Recon 2, Splinter Cell Pandora tomarrow, Chaos Theory, Doom 3, and ect... I can't wait. I hope they can keep up with 56K dail-up.

lol. but i still think that if SOCOM was on xbox live it would be the 2nd best xbox live game, next to halo2

SOCOM on XBox360 will signal the death of PS. I was surprised to see Final Fantasy come over. While not exclusive to XBox it and Killzone were some of the few titles I considered worth getting the PS2 to play on. When GTA can launch for the XBox at the same time as for the PS that will also be another nail in the coffin or maybe even worse for Sony would be GTA makers to make their new series an exclusive to XBox360 and just work on that series for the next couple of years.

SOCOM is a good game but Ghost Recon 2 is way better. XBOX is like a badass hummer when it comes to games. And well....the PS2 is like soler power car running off the sun in a rainy day.lol
