I've decided to make this thread to just post everything MMA that I could find and interests me.
If any of you guys would like to post and add comments about previous UFC events, MMA dream fights, the good ol' PrideFC days, P4P rankings, K1 tourneys and champions, Virtually anything relating to MMA that you can think of, it's completely welcome here. Also feed back will be much appreciated.
Well that's all. Happy posting.
EDIT:
Was seeing if I could change the "post icons."

I'll start this off with some f**king weird information about the current UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida.
In an interveiw given for the march issue of Brazilian magazine "TATAME" Lyoto gives us a secret about his training that should have been kept a secret... He drinks his own urine every morning.
Quote:
“My training is with my family, out Karate, and it makes it more easy. If I go out there, maybe I won’t find what I have in Belém any place in the world. I train with guys who live there”, tells Lyoto. Besides telling all his preparation routine, the undefeated fighter revealed a curious tradition in his family, a secret until then: urine therapy. Once in the day, he and his family drinks their own urine. “My father does that for a long time and bring it to us. People think it’s a joke (laughs). I never said it in the United States because I don’t know how the fans will react (laughs). I drink my urine every morning like a natural medicine”, revealed the fighter.
This magazine issue came out the day of UFC 98, May 23rd. I find this funny as hell. And I really don't think it'll effect his band wagon of nut huggers he has had since beating Thiago Silva.
He is scheduled to be the next Ultimate Fighter Coach competing against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.. and they will face off after the show is done for the UFC Light-Heavyweight Championship. I wonder if they'll show him drinking his own urine on the show, probably not, but it'll probably get some ratings if they did..
Bottoms up, anyone?

I have heard of this also...seems crazy to drink your own piss...but I guess if survivor man can do it ,so can machida...as far as machida v.s raampage...thats not even a fight..machida will win hands down...true rampage is a strong competitor..but he lacks serious ground game..machida is just too versatile and a smart fighter..he plays good defense in his bouts..something alot of these fighters lack....I wouldnt mind seeing b.j penn fight nate diaz..and I would love to see someone beat st.pierre...
Yeah, lol.. Some MMA champions(Arlovski, and Sylvia) have been accused of drinking their own piss before, but no one has ever flat out said it in an interview without any previous accusations.
I don't think it's that big of a deal, same as if a fighter were to come out of the closet and say he/she is ***.. No one would really care but it's just some nice weird facts. But everytime I think of this I think of Dodgeball and that guy Patches O'Houlihan(?) saying, "No one says I need to drink my own piss; But it's sterile and I like the way it tastes." lol.
I've already said I don't like Machida, but I think he'll be champion longer than the last 3 guys that held the belt. I hate to count my favorite light-heavyweight fighter out like that but his chances are slim and Evans had a better chance; He could pull it off though.
As for Diaz and Penn I would love to see that, or any combo between KenFlo, Diaz, Guida, and Penn.. I think a real dream match for me would be Shinya Aoki vs. BJ Penn.
As for GSP, I don't think he'll lose again, it's not likely.. He has just a couple more fighters he needs to run through and then there won't be anymore competition left for him, Like Anderson Silva. He's stuck in a division where he's FAR superior than anyone one else in there.
Because the Light-Heavyweight division is so stacked, I don't think Machida will defend his title more than twice. If Shogun comes back to his former glory, which looks likely, then it will be him that dethrones Machida.

I'm guessing not too good.. Maybe how it smells like.. I sure as **** wouldn't drink it unless I had no other choice. Like if I was lost at sea with nothing but a rubber raft, those kind of circumstances.

I hate Nate Diaz. Loudmouth trailer trash and pure garbage as a fighter. He shouldn't have even won the Ultimate Fighter, I still think that Manvel would have crushed him had he not dislocated his shoulder. BJ would crush him. As for my personal dream matchup I'd have to say George St Pierre vs Anderson Silva.
I added 2 links, one a youtube and the other is from a different site.. I know how some vids are license protected and you can't see them outside the US. The video is only a minute long.
It's from the Bellator Fighting Championships recorded on May 1st. It shows the fight between Toby Imada and Jorge Masvidal.
Imada decisively loses the first and second round, being out struck on all aspects of the game. He had bruises and swelling on his nose and eye as a result. Then going into the third round Imada slaps on an inverted triangle choke while Masvidal is still standing and chokes him completely out. It was very nicely done and a submission I have not seen in MMA yet.
Kind of like how Shinya Aoki slapped on a gogoplata from the full mount, He got submission of the year last year for that maneuver. I believe Toby Imada will win submission of the year this year for this move, I don't think anything will top it. Your thoughts?

Does Manny still fight in the UFC? I don't remember seeing him lately. LoL Nate has that attitude that him and his brother bring from the mean street of Stockton, California.
I believe if GSP keeps winning they will have a match together as Anderson's last fight in the UFC His contract is almost up and Anderson said he's going to leave the UFC and fight Roy Jones Jr wherever they will be allowed to fight; Since Dana White said there is no chance in hell he will ever let them fight in the UFC, I don't see why not, it would rake in some good sales I believe.

Not too sure what Manny is up to lately. I remember the last fight I saw him in he got knocked out in like 15 seconds haha. A little research shows he has a fight in the WEC coming up.

I don't see why the hell he's so against it. He brought Brock Lesnar in for christ's sake. Not only that he gave him a title shot in his 3rd fight with a 1 and 1 record. Roy Jones is definitely more qualified than that gorilla ever was.
yeah blu, I actually think if you market it right, it could be the highest grossing PPV event ever for the UFC. And it would've been a big year for the UFC, with UFC 100 and This event.
I even remember it was Anderson that started this argument in an episode of Inside MMA. But that was like 2 years ago, And then Roy Jones said he only wanted it to be in a boxing ring. Now that Jones had said ok to the cage, White says no. I wonder what he's thinking.

brock lesnar could have been huge. but I think many people still really think of him as that joke from the wwf
remember that huge heavy weight bout he was in in the wwf and it was like 3 minutes of man hugging before he did anything and when he did something it was boring?
well I kind of remember that and said to my self this guy is huge why isn't he moving around more or going for submission then I realized wrestling is fake.
but I think the biggest shocker is shamrock. he is a vile s.o.b. went from ufc to wwf back to ufc. he destroyed like 4 wrestlers before he realized he was supposed to be play acting.
then he just got boring to watch. anyone else remember that???

When I think of Lesnar in the WWF I remember 2 distinct things:
The first and only superplex on the Big Show.
-and-
The Only Shooting Star Press ever tried by someone over 200lbs.
These distinct things, and he's the only wrestler to ever make the Big Show actually look like a wrestler, like he was able to pick him up and actually do stuff to him. I say him and Bobby Lashley are prime candidates for the UFC. Just because they can cut to 265, and be massive beasts. Plus they both have real wrestling backgrounds, being NCAA champions I believe. Wrestlers usually transition well into the sport of MMA..
This is Bobby Lashley, pretty much he's the black Brock Lesnar.
And the only all Pro wrestler that transitioned well into a crowd favorite in MMA is Kazushi Sakuraba, the Gracie Hunter.. He has beaten more legit Gracies from the famous Gracie Jui Jitsu family than anyone. He also has the longest MMA fight ever recorded, at over 90 minutes vs. Royce Gracie himself. He won that one btw.
Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Royce Cracie

I've been a Machida supporter since 2005, so it's been great to see him rise to the top. There aren't many LHWs that can compete with his pure technical skill. I don't see him at the end of a flash KO either. Thank god for Machida -- the sport needed him as a champ.
Machida might have a run like Anderson as a champ.
Manvel fights in the WEC now at 145.
Talking with many other journalists at UFC 98 about Roy Jones Jr. it's a great thing that UFC isn't bringing him in. It's for the best that the UFC doesn't bring in him on the pretenses of one match against A. Silva and that's it. The UFC doesn't operate like that. He would need to jump in with a three-fight contract and have a buffer fight before ever fighting one of their champs. It's smart for Dana to just overlook all that bullcrap since it doesn't help the sport of MMA if RJJ is only looking for one match and that's it. If he was serious about it, he would sign a 3-4 fight contract with the UFC so he can help promote the sport and not a circus match between a boxer and a legitimate MMA star.
Nice, I had no Idea where Manny went... Wasn't he injured for a super long time then fought and lost? That must have sucked for him. Being let go like that.
Ahh, I dislike Machida. Ever since he and Anderson stated that their the best in the business and if Anderson where to fight Fedor, he would beat him. I took that as them being extremely ****y and didn't like it at all. Fedor is the best heavyweight there is right now, hands down. (IMO of course)
I also wondered why Dana White wouldn't allow RRJ to fight in the UFC. I know he's working hard to elevate the UFC to the next level each and every day. I know he wants it to succeed at all costs. But I honestly don't think the RRJ vs. Anderson fight would hurt the UFC at all.. If anything it would help it get some recognition. And if they put on an excellent show that night it would just pull more fans to the sport. But I guess he has his reasons.

Machida is a great fighter. there is no denying that , it does appear in his stats. but I am not a fan of him either. something about his attitude he brings. I would like to see some sort of an upset in his next title match ya know? like a first round tap out with in the first 2 minutes or something like that/

His attitude? I am guessing neither of you two have met Machida. He's as kind and generous as Georges St. Pierre. If you hate Machida, you must hate GSP then.
RJJ vs. A. Silva would hurt UFC more than benefit it, so thank god they never did this fight. The only way is if RJJ wants to fight in the UFC more than once, then it would benefit the UFC -- but he doesn't so he can just continue to get older and more over the hill until A. Silva runs his UFC contract out to wait for the match.
As for A. Silva... I'm so thankful that he and Machida are champs. Both are among the top 5 in P4P fighters in the world and both are in the UFC. Right now, I'm pleased with all the champs in the UFC since they aren't fluke champs or anyone I can't stand.
HW - Frank Mir (though I'd love to see Big Nog make his way back and win it)
LHW - Machida (going to be champ for a long time, no one is even close to him right now)
MW - A. Silva (division is weak, Silva is dominant)
WW - GSP (a complete beast)
LW - BJ Penn (Although I don't like him as much after greasegate, he's still up there in my top 10-15 fighters. I'm hoping Ken Flo beats him)
