Default Connecting TV, Surround sound system, Sky Plus and XBOX 360?

I have the following equipment and am looking for the best way to set it up. A samsung series 5 Full HD Tv. A samsung 2.1 Blu Ray Home cinema system. Sky plus box. I am getting an XBOX 360 soon but I want to order all the cables I will need now.
My plan and will it work????
Sky plus box Scart to Scart to tv and run an optical to surround sound.
Xbox HDMI to TV, and optical to surround sound ( no "HDMI in" on surround sound system as very few of the Blu Ray Home cinema systems have them)
Surround sound system to TV via HDMI cable.

My main questions,
Does the XBOX 360 have an optical out line?
I have read (but doubt) that if you connect your TV to Surround sound via an optical cable, that any system that connects to the TV via HDMI will automatically go to the surround sound system(via TV) without being connected to the surround sound system directly. Could this be correct?(If so would I be better off connect TV to Surround sound via Optical cable and not connecting the XBOX to Surround sound at all) I know this is all very confusing but I have written it as best I can. Ask any questions please
