Pre-Order 360.

I find myself in a conflict of whether or not to pre order the xbox360. For the original XBOX I waited at Wal-mart on launch day, anticipating a lot of other gamers showing up to the store before the doors opened. But I was disappointed because there wasn't that big a turn out. However, with XBox360 it seems like there is alot more hype for the system, than previously. I know that if someone responds to my dilemma that works at a games store (i.e. EB, Gamestop etc), they will say that the Xbox360 is sold out until March so you're screwed. But it always seems to turn out that stores like Wal-Mart will always have a large number of systems. I realize that the city you live in is a big factor on how many people are going to show up on launch day (i.e. New York, Los Angeles etc). But I live in a relatively small Canadian city. Anyways, if anyone could provide their feedback I would appreciate your insight.

I pre-ordered myself but that was the best way for me....i think since you live in a small town you will be safe goin to walmart. i mean i would have a good chance goin to walmart but i had to go a different route.

I have a bunch of money on my gamerush card at blockbuster enough to buy the 360 so thats why i preorderd....

i really dont think you'll have a problem gettin a xbox 360 i think there will be enough to go around thats just my opinion

Pre-ordering is the safest route to take, though I doubt you'll be able to find an available slot this late in the game.

Why pre order? I think its a hassle to pre order sometimes. I rather just go to my store and get it when its there. When i pre order something, I always see it at a Walmart of Target.

yup just like the psp when that first came out people made a big deal out of it and acted like there wasnt plany to go around and the day after it launched there was a bunch in walmart unsold so whats up with that

Im playing both sides, I have a pre order from future shop (canadian best buy), but its online so it may be a week B4 it arrives at my door. So im going to walmart on the 22nd to pick one up to hold me over till my preoder comes in. Then ill just sell or return the unopened one.

yeah, pre-ordered my xbox360 premium on june 16th so i think ill be on the first shipment

I got mine from EB back in August before they announced the preorders on their website.

i prordered two in september and am on the second shipment but the guy at gamestop told me they would have enough for first and second shipment at launch. i got one to put on ebay after they are sold out. hopefully i will be able to rip someone off and get more games with the money.

Stores like Gamestop and EBgames, will sell out. However, stores like Walmart, Target, and Bestbuy, will sell out some time in the week of release. It's launching right before the christmas shoping "begins" (black friday). Anyway, Canada doesn't have a Black Friday (the day after thanksgiving), so you should be fine.

Keep in mind, the PSP launched in March, only hard core fans picked it up. This system is launching in November, one month before the numeral uno gift giving day(s), and it's also launching across the world. This IS the first time a LARGE scale launch has EVER been done. Quantities will in some way be limited through , early next year, but if you look hard enough, you should find one.

I think every one got the $300 version, but I got the $400. So i think im in luck forthe first day.

I don't think anyones taking preorders anymore. It too late. I got mine at Sam Goody.
