Who here would like to see a web browser (Internet Explorer or something) on the 360!
I would love there to be one as it is it is not always convenient for me to use the family PC (like during the night) and I dont own a laptop.
Why doesn't MS give us one! The PS3 and Wii have it and I never recalled anyone complaining about the DreamCast's internet service. But MS would rather give us total crap like Facebook and Twitter!
I have herd gamers say on other forums that having to type things in with the controll pad would make having IE impossible to use. Well they could alwyas make it compatible with either the messenger pad or you could use a USB keyboard (like you can on Wii) with it.
So I would love a web browser. It is a real pity that you cant put one in on Windows Media Centre.

well first off since you're in your 40s you should either move your pathetic ass outta your parents home, or at the very least get yourself your own computer...damn
i wouldn't really give a crap if my xbox had a browser but i guess more options makes more people happy, it could be there for the people that want it, i just wouldn't use it. although my laptop was in the bull**** repair place for like 6 damn weeks and my PS3 and PSP browsers were a lifesaver during that time

Secondly thats my point exactly! It is good for a back up! And I cant get wi-fi in my room!
I have been offered the PC hard drive for my room as both my parents use laptops but the Virgin phonelines and modem and router are all in the computer room so we cant figure out how to do everything which would alow me the harddrive.
I have thought about getting the Wii USB lan adapter if it comes to it.
Pepper I have been in that situation. Last year my parents where on holiday and a brief 15 second powercut blew out the PC motherboard (Not the 1 I am using now) and if it hadn't been for the Wii I wouldn't have had the internet for 2 weeks.

I think a web browser would be sweet on the 360. It is kinda chessy they don't have one. Most ppl have home PC's near there 360's so its not a big deal, but I only own laptops that I usually have with me, so when my gf is home alone it would be cool for her.. even though she only uses facebook, so actually the facebook thing will probably be good enough
I have no need for a web browser but it would be nice to have anyway...ps3 fanboys wouldnt be able to use it as a reason for the xbox being crap....
Also it would need to be a really good browser, maybe opera, something with tabs and all the things you get on a normal pc....
i'd love a firefox browser with add-ons and stuff. never used opera. but since it's xbox it's obviously gonna be internet explorer since it's a microsoft product and they ain't gotta pay for it

No web browser on the 360. The one on ps3 and wii is crap. If you want to browse the web use a computer
Amen.. Same with RTS games.. Where's my Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 4!? We get Diablo but no love for the crafts, especially the one that spawned the gaming phenom known as WoW?! WTF

I have my laptop but when I had to send it in for repair a web browser would have been nice on the 360. Luckily I have the one for the wii, which isnt all that bad BTW.
With twitter coming, you would think that they have to implement something soon. Twitter is full of links that you are not going to be able to click. It's gonna be glorified text messaging.

yeah that's a good point man, i never thought about it that way. if there isn't a browser coming soon after that update then there should be one by next year sometime. they'll need it

if you hate live so much, why would you want a browser that will work using it?
also, the browser on the wii is free now. FREE! of course i already spent those 5 bucks on it a while ago.

Hrmmm.... I am actually glad that the 360 does not have a web browser yet. mark that word. yet. I want it to be a little more perfected than the other browsers out that cut off pictures and flash .
other than that it would be nice if it would exist in the near future. then I could adjust my netflix queue right from my xbox the proper way not just with the movies the wish to show me that week.

A web browser on 360 would be great, if you could suspend to hard drive to switch back and forth between the browser and a game. Would love to swap direct to gamefaqs.com for help finding collection items in games.
This would save a lot of electricity, not having to be running a PC while you are playing on the 360, or wasting paper to print that kind of stuff.
a web brouser would be ideal, but you wouldnt be able to use it for guides or anything other than twitter or facebook or maybe youtube. but like some have said before, stick to a real computer and leave xbox for messengers and basically groupie fan sites lol, sigh. whos gunna care that sombody is so excited for borderlands on their xbox twitter, while they are updating their status ill be playing.
i don't think they would make it so you could browse while you play. the xbox isn't like windows where you can have 2 programs running and switch between them. you can't really switch between processes now without exiting one of them; at lest when you're playing a game. about the only multi task i think you can do is play music in the back ground.
xbox only has a certain amount of ram and processing power that it dedicates to the game and nothing else.

I wasnt talking about doing it on the 360 at the same time. I was speaking in general..ie a computer/phone tweeting while playing. I was hopped up on pills and didnt convey my thoughts clearer. oops
